OFF2JAIL Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 I went for a ride on my Banshee today to make sure that my jetting is fine since I ordered the Toomey T-5 race kit. The jetting is perfect. The plugs are a tan almost all over. Anyway, it was had been raining here for a few days and I went through a lot of water and pot holes. I am currently running the stock air box with the snorkel removed and 12 little plug-in filters which come with the kit. When I got back, the air box was completly covered with mud on the sides and the back. Would you recommend me to keep using this set-up or to go with the 2-into-1 with outerwear. There was hardly any mud where this would be mounted to BTW. Thanks. Shaun Quote
Michael Jackson Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 id use the stock box, and either replace the whole lid with an outerwear cover, which will repel water to a certain point, or leave the lid on, cut out a big rectangular hole int he top and cover it with an outerwear , then there are some other little tricks, like ducktaping the cracks between the airbox and frame rails, etc. always go through puddles on 2 wheels to help keep as much water out as possible, i get called a bitch sometimes, but on the really deep ones, ill go around Quote
