shogs Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 I'm on a bit of a budget this year and have about $800 dollars to spend on my banshee. I have all stock suspension and an 2000 banshee and want to get my front end taken care of. There is also a lot of play in my rear end so I want to replace the bearings and things back there as well. What i'm wondering is if i'm going to spend 3-400 dollars on shocks is it really worth it to go with an aftermarket front end? Should I buy nice used arms or brand new arms off ebay for around 350? I'm also considering getting a -2 swinger at the same time of the a-arms and am wondering about my rear shock. Is it necessary to get a new rear shock or do they not help as much as the front shocks, and how much would it cost to get it re-built? I know these questions have been covered many times but i'm looking for your current opinion of what you would do. Also while I have a post up can I get hubs on my banshee/z400 to match my banshee/z400. Meaning can I set my bikes up so if i get a set of hipers and can switch back and forth when I want? lilmegill727 Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 it makes a worlds difference! in every way, its better. you should gets some wicked 2+1 a-arms on ebay i think there like 425 shipped now i think. i have them and there real good. and for shocks, you should get some works dual rates w/ rezzies or some works tripple rates. there only about 400-500 all set-up the way you want them and they have a guarenty, if you dont like them within 30 days, you send em back and they'll rework/ respring them for free. and im gonna be getting a -1 roundhouse swinger, i've heard many good things about them and cant wait till i get mine! -kevin Quote

lilmegill727 Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 yeah i might not get a roundhouse because the money but tommorow or saturday, im getting my extra stock swinger cut and rewelded 2 inches shorter so i'll have a -2 and then were gonna sand blast it and try and find a color to match my a-arms just for now and ill see if i like the -2 and if not i'll just get a -1. GrMeyer Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 I got my burgard off ebay for like 200 shipped new. they are +2+1's and added the yfz450's for 150 with back shock. the front is nothing to the stock...they should have made the bike this way from the start. But just watch ebay... it might take you a month to find the stuff you need. I watched for a year for my 660 raptor and found a front with alba arms and elka dunes for 800 to my door and that is a dream!!!! Quote

Problem is it seems as if my rear tires are locktited on. I don't really know if a stronger impact would help...what do u guys think would work? Quote
