i cant start this thing without using starting fluid and i dont want to keep on doing that.and the other problem is when i do get it to fire up it revs way up and stays up and i cant get it to come back down.it smokes real bad on the left cylinder but is probably right on the right cylinder. i rebuild carburetors all the time but none have the stupid tors on them.BTW i still got tors. how do you adjust the idle on it?bone stock, theres a K&N filter, and im at sea level. i just fired it up for the first time yesterday and the carbs probably arent synced. i wouldnt even know where to start. help me out!!!!

Sonds to me like you have an air leak, like a split carb boot or something, the air is being pulled in through the leak instead of through the carbs so it is not pulling in any fuel .Is the little choke tube on that hooks between the carbs? The idle is adjusted by the big flat bladed screw on top the tors.

get rid of the tors shit man...when you start it spray the carbs, boots and intakes all over with carb&choke clean or brake clean.if it bogs down then you know you have an air leak somewhere.

sounds like an air leak to me. also sync the carbs and make sure the idle screw is even on both sides. all the way one way or the other is too much. spray around the rubber intakes too see if it is infact and air leak. with k&n you will need to bump the mains up 1 or 2 sizes

sooooooo. i guess i didnt do that great of a job cleaning the carbs. i found 1 of the pilots were plugged and the throttle cables were crossed so it was always holding my throttle open. also synced the carbs. runs absolutley beautiful. thanks for your help!
