if you're just trying to kill it, Ospho. It kills rust and primes it. It's a green liquid. You have to wear dish washing gloves and preferably a mask when you use it. It will burn your skin and singe your nose hairs.

if its small spots get a wire wheel brush that will fit on a cordless drill and go 2 town..then spray with paint

 

or do what most ppl do(including myself) tear down ur whole shee and do a complete rebuild

and get it pc'd

After reading this topic i remember using something but don't remember what its called... It came in a oil stablizer jug like Lucas.. and you painted it on with a brush and it would go on like white Elmers glue and after it dried it would turn the rust blue and be clear primer and you could paint right over it... Any ideas id like to get it again

Depending where the rust is, I know that if it's on like chrome, I used S.O.S pads to take small to medium size spot of rust on my header pipes.

Try por-15 works great used on alot of old cars turns black dont have to do anything after you paint it on you can leave it black like a paint and never touch again good luck

Best stuff i have ever seen is called RUST CURE it basically pull the rust out of the metal and even leaves it primed afterwards so you can lightly sand it and spray it
