highroller355
had big problems shifting yesterday, so changed clutch at the track and granny shifted these are my best 2 time sips my last pass was the most mph but bogged a little out the gate and had to granny shift or the bike wouldnt go into gear, and also surging up stairs in 6th almost felt like it was bogging or running out of fuel or too low in rmp

On the times, im not that experienced with asphalt. I have done it a lot but only for fun really, i would love to really get into it but there is no where for me to race, i am the only quad at our local track and it is just TNT. But from what little i do know, there is deffinitly room for improvement on your slips. Along with mine, ive ran best of 7.4 at 90 mph with a 60' of 1.9 which is a terrible 60'. is that a 4 mill cub? no override i take it. and yeah what NYUK says, what gearing? I need some tires like what you got bad.
highroller355
what gears are you running? whats up nyuk ,sorry man meant to call you< but got very busy at track with having problems shifting and changing my clutch, i am running 16 40 with an over ride straight cuts gears
NYUK
you should be faster than that. and be able to pull bigger gears.i ran my best times winding 5 th all the way to the quarter. 18,38 gears.
yfzdunejumper
That doesn't sound like enough gear for the 1/8 let alone the 1/4. Gear up and see what happens

Gear up and see what happens i was thinking the same thing, i ran 17/44 and ran out pretty early in the 1/8th. that and 16/40 isnt much difference. dajogejr
You want 2:1 gearing if your bike will pull it in the 1/4. So...yeah, 18/36 or such... You can shave a LOT of weight off that bike (I weigh what you do...so, I'll keep my mouth shut about rider weight...lol)
Guest utleybanshee
im running 18/36 its perfect i think...
highroller355
i guess i w ill be changing my gearing and trying it that way 1st i have to figue out surge in 6th gear and tranny problem, thanks guys,. also does a lock up clutch work with a stock tranny
dajogejr
I personally wouldn't run a lockup on a stock tranny. They shift like shit as is...adding more power and RPM to that only magnifies that. Lockup and override go together like PB and J...
