shogs Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 First let me start by saying I removed my tors and everything was gravy for a few days. I cut the wires under the where you sync the carbs, cut the wire coming out of the throttle and cut the brain out.(I did this all when i was referring to the tors removal thread.) Did I do something wrong? If not then my next guess is my air boots are leaking again because I had to seal them once before. Also I might run up to my local shop and have them do a compression test to make sure its not my top end. Anyone else have any ideas of what it could be? Thanks Quote

Thanks was it fine before the TORS removal? you might have left somthing pluged in or unplugged. but another possibilty is if it runs flawless below half then a main jet coming loos will do the same thing. 2001Stroker Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 So will a clogged slow jet. Just happened to mine a couple weeks ago. All it takes is a very small peice of trash to get in there. Quote
shogs Posted November 9, 2008 Author Report Posted November 9, 2008 I think i'm gonna do a rebuild pretty soon. I'm gonna go with a aggressive trail port and rebuild when I get around to tearing my shee apart . So I guess when I do that I'll clean the carbs and probably have to change the jets. What else do you guys think I should go over when I rebuild? Quote
05.Banshee.SE Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 If it was running fine for a few days after the TORS removal, and now it's randomly running wierd, it's not the TORS, or lack thereof. Sounds like an issue elsewhere... Rip the carbs apart, clean them (if you have to), and put them back together. Then check for an air leak. Quote
MarineNYC Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Check the gapping on your Flywheel pickup. Had the same problem out of nowhere. Thats what it was. U need to set it to a creditcards space. Quote
