davesgarage Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 I was told by the dumb salesman at Trinity Racing two different ways. I think I need to remove the black box under the gas tank. leave the two carb plugs unplugged and cut off the wires that used to run to the thumb throttle. I went to a Terry Cable twist. Please let me know if this sounds right. Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Unplug the control unit and unplug the throttle switch (connector is usually located between the fuel tank and radiator). You have a 2-to-1 carb, so the carburetor switches are aleady disconnected. You can clean-up the wire harness by eliminating the useless plugs and wires. I am pretty sure the electrical write-up on the technical documents page linked from the HQ homepage explains how to do it... Scroll down to Q&A #63... Electrical Q&A Quote
