Onesickcrewcab Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 If your planning on doing a cub in the near future, I wouldn't spend the money on drag porting your stock cylinders with new pistons, and custom domes. You will just have to buy new pistons and domes again once you get the cub. Just my 2 cents. Quote

Wildcardracing Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 +3 on the cub now. You'll be throwing good money away drag porting the stockers if you plan on a cub in the near future. Drag porting, boring your cylinders and new pistons will only be a couple hundred shy of the cub price. Quote

Nate does a helluva job, but....I'd rather have his cub than a set of stockers... Did you take into consideration a longer swingarm, shock setup stiffer, longer chain, gearing change AND different paddles/tires? Just trying to help you complete the package... Quote
duneblazer Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 and if you rolling with the drag ported stockers you might want to change the FMF's to CPI or shearers ??? Quote
tapout94 Posted October 2, 2008 Author Report Posted October 2, 2008 sure ill sell that 2 into 1... as soon as i get me new carbs... what sparked this whole thing off was a whole in the piston.... so i have to change my pistons anyway. and the cub cylinders alone are about $899, not ported(from nate) just dont have the money right now for the cubs... do have the money for a port job. have considered, and will be getting a new swing arm, chain and paddles. as of now, im running an 8 paddle. will be getting shearer big bores, as original post states. all in due time.
