yamshe Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 i pulled my plugs after about 1 hour of run time and 1 plug looks just a little rich not bad at all but the other is completly black. i have blue spark on both plugs and i run a 2 into 1 setup so iam not sure how one is richer then the other. when riding it the power band seems like when its not up to operating temp. when i forgot to turn the gas on i went thru the gears and it had a great powerband. so does anyone have any ideas? Snopczynski Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 i dont have a tester but it has a profesinaly done fresh top end with about 1 hr run time this is also the first time i rode the bike Whats the compression, why did you rebuild it? Is there a possibility it got lean on the last top end and blew up? Thus indicating you may have a leaky crankseal or leaky cases? Which cylinder runs leaner, flywheel side? Quote
yamshe Posted September 19, 2008 Author Report Posted September 19, 2008 the reason it got a new topend is because the tranny needed new bushings so while it was apart i had the mecanic throw in a new set of rings and a hone i think it is rich on the clutch side not lean Quote
LS1Inferno Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 thats not freah top end, thats freshened up. i have said it before and a few people dont believe me, but ive seen the 2 into 1 favor one side if the compression is too far off. i bought one that was burnt up on one side, but the other was like new. as i pulled everything off i looked for things that wernt sealed up but it was.
