I just installed the adjuster and a new cable, my cable is adjusted all the way in and when I adjust the pancake adjuster my arrows on my case are off by about 1/8" to 1/4" inch to the stator side by my question is when I pull my clutch in the arrow goes about the same amount maybe a little less to the clutch side, is this right? I did a search and the arrow 1/4" inch on the stator side was mentioned but they said with the clutch pulled in the arrows lined up and mine do not. I adjusted it in enough where my clutch basket did not have any play and my clutch lever did not have any slack. Just want to make sure it is right before I put it back together. Also installed a shift star and new inner and outer hubs.

Thanks

the arrows shouldnt line up when you pull the clutch in...You are close with a 1/4" towards the flywheel side, then with the clutch released....push the clutch arm with your finger and the arrows should line up..if it goes passed, you need to screw in the adjuster further......

so basically you will have a little slack (clutch arm towards the flywheel), then push the arm with your finger and arrows line up, but not go passed.....

you can not always base your clutch adjustment off the arrows. they are nothi8ng more then a guide. Espisally if you have an after markets clutch. What I do ith my clutch is leave the springs off and adjust the screw until i feel it hit the ball/rod and then back it off 1/4 turn. then bolt everything back up. MY arrows come no where near lining up like the clymers says any more. As long as you dont put the tension on the clutch at all times you will be fine

The way got it my clutch feels good, the adjuster felt like it was in as far as it should go? Is it normal for the lever to touch the grip when pulled in? And hey Greg maybe tomorrow I'll try to do it before I tighten the springs. Is the outer hub supposed to be passed the flat spots on the adjuster? So if you took a wrench on the adjuster you could turn it "the flat spots are not in the hex opening on the outer hub like the stock one"?
