Hilarious Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 On a serious note, did they fix the screws on the VF3's that can potentially come off and flubup your motor? vforce 3's replacement reeds are snap in. the vf2 reeds are held in place with the screws it is highly recommended to use locktite on the screws. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 V-force cages DO make more power on the drag motors... maybe I'll port up a set of stock cages and take them to the dyno with me in the next few weeks and see how well they do against the VF and SRP cages... somehow.. I know they wont fair too well... That would be cool if it doesn't cost you an arm and leg to test them all, but I can tell you now the ported stockers will fall short, I lost over a tenth ET on my 300' time and the bike didn't pull as hard, and did not rev as crisp as it did with the VF2's. You guys are talking about the stuffers on 3's, are you talking about the big honkin stuffer that comes with the cages? I don't run it in mine....I have a little insert that takes the place of the stuffer. If you want, I'll send you a set of ported stockers to dyno with if you want, lol, I just need to get them back  Quote
dajogejr Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Travis.. talking about the LARGE square stuffers that cacade sells. http://67.199.65.66/cascade_innovations/ne...tore_dept_id=83 Quote
Wildcardracing Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 I think this is going to be an ongoing debate as long as banshees' exist. I don't think that any one reed is best for all engines or applications. Ported stockers with the right pedals may be better on one engine and V-Force3's on an other. Only way to know for sure is to try them all for your application unless someone else allready has . Personally I run the ported stockers with aftermarket petals in them, mostly because I can't justify the price of the V-Force for the gain. Would I like to try some VF's....sure, when I can get my bike on the dyno, I plan to try out both setups and run which ever one my engine likes the best. Quote
shanYE west Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 If you want, I'll send you a set of ported stockers to dyno with if you want, lol, I just need to get them back  Thats ok Travis.. We're already going to compare a set of the SRP cages against the VF's. If we start comparing too many things it's going to start to get costly with that many pulls.. I was only looking to make about 4 pulls. Quote
