CRANK AND CYLINDER HELP

I Blew my crank shaft on my bike. i AM GOING TO DO THE REBUILD MY SELF. i ALSO BLEW THE RIGHT PISTON. DO I HAVE TO CHANGE BOLTH OF THE PISTONS OR CAN I CHANGE JUST THE BLOWN ONE. ALSO I NEED TO GET MY CYLINDER RESLEAVED. DOES ANYONE ONE A COMPANY THAT DOES IT? THANKS

dude,for the money your going to spend on rebuilding a crank,resleeving 1 cylinder and a new piston...you can get a crank,jugs,pistons and a head used and in good condition for cheaper.if you have to resleeve,u might as well go big bore..just my .02

 

on a side note.i got a crank ill do for 115 shipped if your interested :biggrin:

agree. you are rebuilding the whole thing anyway. I would replace both pistons at the same time you want the same wear on both sides. if you were to reesleve one side and bore it you would be off balance. Also are you looking to go with a stock crank and pistons and no port work?

How bout a piston and cylinder?

you DO NOT want to do only one side. you will throw off the balance of the motor, and you carbs will have to be set different etc. just save the money and get both a good used crank, if you need them there are places like FAST i believe and others that can sell you some bored used cylinders and pistons as ONE package deal. if you want to do things to only one piston, buy a 4 poke
