I recently had my banshee in the shop because when it gets warm it wants to throttle up and stick and will not come down unless you shut it off. After a 140.00 and the carbs gone through, new needle valves, and a leak check, I still have nothing. They did the leak test and the outer crank seals and boots were good. in there conclusion to the problem they said that the "inner seal" is bad. They did some check by putting a piece of paper over a spark plug hole and did a pressure test and it failed. As far as to my knowledge there is no such thing as a inner crank seal on a banshee. If someone can enlighten me on this situation or educate me so I don't have to put 1800 in a rebuild, I would appreciate it. Please help me out.

thanks

1 seal per side, no "inner crank seal" a paper test on a sparkplug hole? what the hell will that prove, man take that to a different shop because that alone tells me they didnt do a proper leak down test, sounds like an airleak to me or your throttles just getting caught in a bind somehow. eitherway whoever is doing the work sounds like they have no business inside a 2-stroke motor

Hey i had exactly what your talking about happen to me with my banshee. Had it in the shop and got charged a bunch to clean the carbs and to get new needle valves. My air boots were good but right above the boot where the crossover tube had 2 cracks in it. I just got the banshee so i had no idea why it was revving high and sticking. Itd be nice/cheap if that was ur problem
