mikey351 Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Hi All Looking for some advice. I have a stock banshee with KN filter and lid that was running 240 mains and needle clip in the 3rd groove. I installed some boysen power reeds, got rid of the lid and installed 260 mains and adjusted the pilot screw till it ran good. I also took off the spark arrestors off the standard pipes and it didnt run as well as it did when the arrestors were on so I put them back on? It had good power up until 3/4 and then it didnt want to go anymore. I figured it was to rich on the mains so I am going to go to 250 mains and hopefully it will be better. I was wanting to know if I should move the clip position one position leaner or leave it where it is? I want to go riding next weekend so I cant afford to play to much with the tuning as I am a bit busy at the moment. Your suggestions would be much appreciated thanks Quote

bigboybanshee Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 If your problem is at WOT then I wouldn't change the needle settings at all, only the main jets. I would definitely leave the spark arrestors in there too, 2 strokes don't run like 4 strokes do, 2 strokes need the backpressure to run right, and the stockers may have been designed to work best "as-is" with those spark arrestors installed.
