New here and a few questions

Hello everyone I am new here. I am in the market for my first Banshee. I was wondering if there were and advantages to a certain year versus another or any year model I should stay away from etc. Thanks in advance.

Only real difference is starting in 1991, they went to a-arms versus j-arms. The a-arm bikes are a little stronger in the front end and easier to upgrade later on. Otherwise, aside from really minor stuff (electrical connectors, etc) no differences. Any year bike in decent shape would be a good bet.

Ok thanks I was not sure if they changed the gearing from say like 1999 to 2001 etc.

Nope, the Banshee didnt really change much. There is a thread with some of the differences, but they are all minor like style of rear carrier, bolt pattern on rear hubs, axle nuts. But even most of the old Banshees Ive seen for sale have been updated with newer style parts.

The Banshee had a long run of success on the same basic design.
