  1. I had a bone stock 1986 250r and I could smoke any piped 400ex. They need a lot of work to beat a piped 250r. Duneslider
  2. Thanks, I thought that seal was the one on the outside on the plastic part of the outer cover. Thanks for taking a few minutes to look that up and correct me. Duneslider
  3. My friend just picked up a banshee with leaking c-shaft and shifter seals. He wants to replace them and I figured I might as well do mine too since they have been leaking for years. I can't seem to find the part numbers for them. Anyone know them? I tried looking at the microfiche but I only found a number for the c-shaft (93102-35369-00) . My local stealership is worthless and the dumbass kid working couldn't find them either. Any help would be great. Also, are the seals tough to replace? I figure I should just be able to pry them out and push the new ones in. That right? Thanks Duneslider
  4. We have had really good luck with Dr. D pipes on our 400's. Sound great and make great power. We are 99% duners so I don't know about the track but they are great pipes. Later Duneslider
  5. If you end up needing more than just seals, yamaha doesn't sell what you need. At least that's what they told me everywhere I went. One intelligent parts guy informed me the 400ex uses the same rear brakes and Honda does sell all the parts. Worked for me, you might have luck finding a rebuild for the 400ex brakes. 6. I put a heavy duty clutch in but I left half of the springs stock and the other half the HD and the pull wasn't too bad but I then bought an easy pull clutch lever and now it is great. Later Bryan
  7. Hey I'm interested too. If you can get some bigger pictures I'd like to see them. If IROHORSE doesn't want them I probably will. They are maier aren't they? Later Duneslider
  8. We just got done breaking in my dads banshee (2001) and about half way through the day it started acting really sluggish. Initially I thought it was a bad top end job, turns out it won't shift into first second or neutral. It shifts fine third though sixth. Do you all think it is just something out of adjustment or is something jacked up inside the cases. Any and all thoughts would be great. When I pull the side case, what should I look for. My thoughts are that it isn't something in the gears since 3-6 work fine. Thanks everyone, Bryan Duneslider
