I cranked hard on that removal tool and nothing happened.Thought about using my new torque wrench on it but I was scared of bustin something important. should i crank down on it again and whack it gently(Stan knows)?? If it comes off this tough will reinstalling it be as difficult?

clean out those carbs good. Make sure you give those pilots a nice shot of air. well.... what Boonman stated.

pull the old bearings out.It can be tough if they have been shot awhile.
You might be able to pop the seal with a flathead but be careful not to mar the carrier wall. From the oppsite side you can tap out the bearing. Tap in all areas of the bearing edge top- bottom- left- right and they should pop.

The closest shop for me is a honda/polaris dealer. They just love me when i ask for two 320's fo my quad. They know what i own without telling them and they hate it.

Problem solved. With luck i had the seals correct. The sprocket side seal was not seated completely.So i banged it in gently and all is well.

My big sunday ride is on this one.
Has anyone had this happen. The rear bearings have just been changed and when i tighten up the axl nut even the slightest the axl is tough as hell to turn. When i back it off the axl spins like it should.I cant leave the nut loose because there will be play in my disc and sprocket.Could it be that my bearings are not seated all the way? The seal is screwing up something?

This was cake. Get ahold of a plumbers chain wrench that will fit the diameter of the flywheel.Unscrew the pickup coil and stuff it inside and out of the way. Using your chainwrench make sure you have it on the outside of the flywheel to avoid the risk of warping.After you have locked it tight rest the wrench portion on the footpeg. Now turn the flywheel nut and youre set! Any questions let me know.

I use the K&N "lampshade" and it works well. I run in 80% sand and I have to clean it every 10 hours. Air is good.

It seems like youre leaning tward a new head. Go with Noss Machine for an easy to install, well manufactured product. Be sure to purchase or borrow someones quality torquewrench for the job.
