so this is the deal put the 404 in the t5's,k&n open lid no oterware just cause i didn't have one yet the coolhead and 94 octane and 300 main jets i did a compression check and the first time it said like 210 then i did it again and it was 160 so i guess that was fine. took it out it was freezing out it started idled then i took it out putted around for a while then a little antifreeze came out of the head to i torqed the head down a littlemore cause it said 20 pounds isn't that to little. anyways i then antifreeze came out of this hose behind the radiator i guess an oflow than i gave it a little more gas then checked the lugs and they seemed fine put new ones in putted around some more then hammered it alittle and it sound like at high rpm like there was not enough oil getting to the piston but no loss in power or anything also off the line it putts then it kicks in idk any advice then i let it coll down and started it and it was only fireing out of one cylinder then pulled the choke a little out and it seemed to run better with the choke stuck on the first postion idk i need help just dont know where to start soory the novel just so much to say oh it also has a mild port job from magic racing with 18cc domes custom cut for 94 octane hepl from anyone would be awsome i usally talk to fixitrod but he just signed off while i was writing this but any questions i ever have i look on the board and i don't even have to ask it cause it's already anwsered this site rules

hey fixitrod i finally got around to taking the head and cylinder off and let me tell u what a pain. So this is the deal the left cylinder was kinda hard to get off turns out the 2nd ring on the bottom of the piston melted or something well the 1st ring was not seated the right way but it was stock so maybe it moved or something. where the 2nd ring would come together the piston was kida charded away and a piece of the 2nd ring is gone about an inch or so. My crank seams to be fine i think, it moves freely so i guess the crank is not blown but i wanted to ask u what do i check for i mean i grab the rods and moved them side-to-side u no like wiggle it a little and it did a tad is this good or bad or ok or what i not sure. What i do know is that i have about 1500-1800 to spend and i kinda like the sound of the stroker and evergthing u have from grandriver u said u got the 4mm crank,topend ported,pistons,gaskets for 1300 what would it cost me for all that installed and tear down and assembly but u think i already took the topend apart so the bottoms just left. also what do u think i should do? it's apart lets do this and do it right the first time and get some big balls out of it i wanna smoke my friends also tell the other mods i have to do with this so maybe i can get some of them from my girlfriend for christmas. thanks fixitrod sorry for the novel and my bro left for canada for a week and took the digi so i couldn't take any pics but tomm i'm gonna use a friends and i email u if u want again thanks for the help this site is awsome.

hey fixitrod its totally stock the way it came from the dealer just k&n and boostbot i tried putting it in gear and moving it back&forth but no luck its just locked what do u suggest i do i really rather not mess with but if there's something i can do let me know this is a bummer i ride everyday and this is killing me. who do u or anyone else trust with sending ur engine to to have work done like the whole thing teardown,inspection everthing. i have like 600-1000 to spend plus i'm getting pipes for christmas of my choice so help me out with some input please i want this done right the first time. thanks everyone been really helpfull.oh yea i have clymers u think i could do most of the work or just nah give to the place? thanks for the repies keep um coming.

hey tithead i was on snow so i really wasnt able to see they would just slide i left it at my friends house tomm i'm gonna pick it up and see if i could push it back and forth in my garage i tryed jumping it which prob wasn't a good idea but it just was sliding on the snow. so when i get it home i'll take off the head and see if i could push the pistons down if i could move them then what do i due,,, and if they don't move then what do i do then. thanks for all the help guys and no i did not re-jet after the k&n and it ran rine a year&half of alot of abuse and i also noticed that there was oil leaking from the bottom of the case but i saw that when put the clutch i must of kinkedthe gasket but i checked the oil and there was oil in there so idk but i gonna try what u guys said thanks

i have an 02 stock just k&n, useless boostbottle,lonestar axle and my friend just got a 450 and we dooked out on the street like 10 times dead even everytime unless i missed a gear then he would be gone but otherwise dead even and we raced almost up to the top of 6th.

ok so here's what happen had the carbs off to clean put them back on everthing was ok went riding yesterday in the snow throught the streets of my town for like a 1/2 hour and noticed the throttle responce wasn't so good so i checked the plugs and they were fine but cleaned them off anyway, well after puting them in i go to kick start and the fuckin kickstarter is locked oh was i pissed so i move it back and forth still stuck had oil in just don't know what the f*ck to do i guess i need a new top end. the bike is stock except for k&n, boost bootle, i was wondering what cuased this, what pistons i should go with, who i should send my motor to, maybe there's somthing i can do i got the clymers if that helps please any help would be great i have pipes on the way for chrismas and want this bad boy running by then maybe i should get port work at the same time don't want to spend more that 600-1000 dollars sorry for the novel but it was the easiest to explain oh also it's a 2002 and i ride everyday for aleast 2 hours a day and the wekends like 5 hours a day so maybe it does need a fresh topend thanks again for anyhelp. so my question is what should i do, what topend, who to do it, and what porting to do

well this is the deal i went riding the other day down the shore and got alot of sand stuck do it due to going in water which were man made lakes anyway i didn't have time to wash it that night cause i got home to late and it was cold so i did it tonight after work at this local due it yourself place and be so cold i just wanted to leave i didn't dry it and it froze on the way home i mean everting sparkplug wires,carbs,head,pipes just everthing now it's in my garage thawing out i just wanted to now how and what i should look for when it's all thawed up oh and i couldn't even pull the choke out either sorry the novel any help would be great if not it's cool i guess i deserve it i'm such a dubmass.

HEY GUYS I ROLLED MY QUAD AND IT WAKED THE HANDLEBARS AND NOW THE STOCK KILL SWITCH DOESN'T WORK IS THIS BAD COULD IT AFFECT ANYTHING I CAN START IT WITH THE SWITCH ON OR OFF ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS.

OK HERE'S THE DEAL I WAS CHANGING MY CLUTCH FOR THE FIRST TIME USING THE CLYMERS WHICH I MUST SAY IS GREAT RECOMEND IT TO EVERYONE SO U PUT IN A FRITION PLATE THEN A CLUTCH PLATE THEN SO ON AND SO ON BUT ON THE FRITION PLATE THERE WAS ONE RED DAB ON A SPOT ON ONE OF THE SQUARE PARTS AND I ALIGNED THE FIRST PLATE RED WITH THE ARROW ON THE CLUTCH BOSS AND THEN THE OTHER PLATE WHEN IT WAS TIME FOR THE NEXT FRICTION PLATE I TURN IT 60%TO THE RIGHT EACH TIME AFTER BUT IN THE MANUAL IT SAYS TO DO THAT WITH CLUTCH PLATES AND I DID IT WITH THE PLATE THAT HAS THE SQUARE PARTS ON IT SO BASICALLY I WAS WONDERING IF THIS IS RIGHT THANKS SORRY THE NOVEL.

ok i have 2 questions first i put my new clutch in and there were these o-ring cushions that seperated each friction &clutch plate when i put them in with the new clutch thwe clutch would'nt fit so i took them out and it fit i was wondering if this is ok its a barnnet dirt racer clutch 2 i put a new gasket on and it is leaking oil from the third screw on the bottom left the one all the way to the left before u start going around the bend of case thanks any help appreciated
