  1. CPI or the GRR...BanZ has tested both and they are both excellent! You can get the GRRs chromed at any chrome shop...not that big of a deal.
  2. Glock... You must have missed what i said. Turbos are power adders
  3. The guys in the Pure Street class arent spending big money. They are vary limited on the parts they can use. All intakes, heads, etc must be approved by the NMRA for use in that class. They can only tweak so much too. All parts used must be in mass production for the general public. It all comes down to TUNING and Chassis setup. It's the same for the camaro. Most 10 second ones require power adders. It's simple...you need big cubic inches or a power adder to get a 3000+ lbs car down the track. There is a reason why Mustangs are the most popular car to drag race. They work...the cars and the motors.
  4. Our current cars are a chassis car corvette with a 572 merlin big block with dart heads and tunnel ram...built by Mike Casey. Uses a Trans Specialites Powerglide. Last weekend i went 7.67 at 180. Our mustang is bascially a SSO setup with 10.5 inch tires..backed by a 460 with a turbo 400. I went 9.11 at 153mph in it today.

    Skinny poll

I'd have to agree with you about YFS being in the running to be Shitty's Soulmate.
  6. Chris is for real when it comes to asphalt drag racing. His bike hauls the mail!!!!!
  7. Why do you need an RZ tranny to use the RZ cylinders? Are we forgetting that the cylinders are IDENTICAL, other than the powervalves?? Not one thing is different. Porting is almost IDENTICAL to doing regular banshee cylinders. Only thing different is the transfers... The gear ratio from the RZ tranny is not made for cruising through trails at 9,000 rpms. Rather, made for cruising down the road. Do as Banshee370 did...use the banshee gears, but RZ forks and hub. It wont be smoother, and the bike will have the correct gear ratios.
  8. Meat, Do you have a spare chassis yet? Looking to buy one? I will sell you my 2000 chassis, with alot of aftermarket parts (brand new LSR axle, with all hubs, +8 Tucker Pro arm, chrome, etc). Basically, everything but the motor, electrical, and plastic. So, you get the seat, radiator, and everything else. Go with the banshee gears, and RZ forks and hub, shifting has never been so smooth!! Send me a message if you are interested, thanks alot.
  9. Meat, Yes, BC does have experience. He was telling me about an RZ 350 he did for a kart guy. He ended up winning the championship. Spun 11,000 rpm all day long...no probs. As for bill, i know he just recently started med shool. Im sure hes busy. However, for you, im sure hed try to work something out. Yep, hes big with Dale Alexander, and Stuart Toomey, who originally started on RZs. Cant go wrong with either of the two. I am not aware of any RZs built by the other big guys. If you need BCs email, pm me, ill give it to you. Looks like he started his post while i was typing mine!!!
  10. Maybe 3-4 times a year at the dunes. Once the bike is done I'll start racing it.
  11. Meat, You'd be all set if you could get Stuart Toomey or Kenny Roberts to port your Rz jugs. Bill Adams porting is keyed toward the RZ porting schemes too.
