I ran into a similar problem. Turned out it was the water pump gear(plastic). It had broken into two pieces so the gear couldn't transfer motion to the the impeller, ie coolant wasn't flowing. One way to check this might be to kick it over slowly with the impeller cover off while you have your finger holding light pressure againist the impeller. The impeller should turn in sync with motor. If it doesn't I'd check the gear.

Ended up ordering direct from Toomey. Tried some high temp hose auto hose... didn't last very long.

Anyone have an inside what where you can pickup a small length of this hose?
