  1. Alright i got everything together , and shee starts first kick, but i have no low end at all and the top spits and sputters and skips... Im thinking this could be from air getting through my cylidners because i didnt hone or bore when i put new pistons in? I talked to 3 engine builders and they looked at my cylinders and said it didnt need a hone even with light scratches but im thinkin this coudl be the only reason why its runnin like shit... what else could it be? Should i buy the next size up pistons and get it bored?

This things never gonna run right... just rebuilt the whole thing and started it and an oil seal broke so i tore it apart and found a screw wedged in the gear in front of the clutch... took it out put a new oil seal in cleaned all the metal shavings out... started it, not its only firing on one cylinder , checked all the wiring and stuff it seems good, did plug tests and the left cylinder has a really weak spark , it sparks once every 5 kicks, then the right plug doesnt spark at all. What could be causing this?
  3. Alright nevermind guys i found out its just the clutch side oil seal, there was about a quart of oil in my right pipe So its gonna be an easy fix (i hope) but if its not then im parting it out
  4. Yes carbs are sync'd ... we even tried switching the slides around to see if they were backwards but same effect...
  5. Alright as you may know i just rebuilt my whole banshee by myself. Stuck a new hotrods crankshaft in there, and new wiseco pistons (same size bore as before, just newer pistons) Anyways... We got it started last night and it had absolutly no power at all in the low end , it bogs forever but then after 4 seconds of floorin it , it would hit the top end like a normal banshee. I adjusted the air screw thinking that was it. So i took it around the track thinkin maybe sumthings stuck in the gas. Wll about haflway through a lap it starts pouring smoke out the right side pipe. So i get towed back to the truck to check things out. It still has equal compression on both cylinders and starts fine. Just smokes alot on the right side. I pulled the whole top end off down to the cylinders 3 times , reeds are fine, carbs clean, everything else clean. So what could it be? Its not the tors either cause i plugged those in and unplugged those, it was the first thing i checked, and its not the parking brake cause i have a blockoff for that. Everything ran fine before the rebuild... Should i tear it apart again all the way to the bottom and give it another shot? Would something like a oil seal cause this? I'm thinkin I may have put one in backwards but not sure if that would matter.

I have a 02 banshee engine that i just finished rebuilding by myself and it has no bottem end power but hits at top, adjusted about everything possible, flipped the carbs around, checked reeds, so its gotta be sumthin in the crank region (maybe an oil seal since this is the first time i've ever seen an oil seal maybe i put it on backwards? Anyways Im gonna try and part it out ... Everything is stock besides : - Brand New Wiseco Hotrods Crank - - Brand new .020 over pistons (2 days old) - Bored .020 over cylinders REALLY WANTING TO TRADE PLUS $ ! Once again there is nothing wrong with the motor it just needs to be professionaly built , not built by a guy who doesnt really know what hes doing. Taking offers...

I bought a wiseco piston KIT which came with gaskets that i dont need since i bought a whole engine gasket kit, so im selling this top end gasket kit that came with the pistons (does that make sense?) Anyways best offer takes it... its a "cosmetic" brand top end gasket kit that comes with : -1 water pump gasket -2 O rings -2 Base Gaskets -1 Head Gasket -2 Intake reed gaskets

  10. Ok I'm in the "build up " stage of a complete tear down... just installed a hotrods crank and put the clutch on and stuff... just was wondering a few things before i totally finish it. 1. For the cases...are the only things that go in there the crank, gears, and oil seals? then u can put the cases together? 2. For the clutch , theres the black rings.... a friend of mine told me that I can throw them away if i want to since they only reduce clutch noise. Is that true?

  14. I got mine on the right clutch side where the coolant goes into the water pump .... does it make any difference?

  20. ya you should notice a differince in power ! But like the others said - make sure you drain your coolant unless u want a big puddle of sticky green stuff on the floor By the way which ottawa are you in ? Illinois?
