  1. k, seemed sketchy to me....like a too good to be true deal...they had a couple beauties on there for 2500..now ive been hangin out here for a minute im knowing better now.. I wasnt really expecting 'Yes we all get our bikes there'....had to ask tho, thx
  2. I wish I would have went that route...I called FAST and instantly regretted using my local dood...Theres a ton of directions you can go, kinda have an idea of what your wanting because they will have a ton of questions...I felt like i was wasting thier time by not knowing what i wanted yet...but the guy was super cool to me anyways... I was asked 'what kind of riding do you do?'...i said, 'well i like to be stoned and do brodies' (bad answer lol),,,i had to come here to find out what that meant haha,,im so new, but learnin super quick man..
  3. Carefull!..Ive used 2 reputable builders in my town now...And I dont recommend this...If you watch the yutube vids on banshee rebuilds from KANpowersports and HerrJuggs, You will want a super experienced banshee builder only...Theres a bunch of little banshee specific things that a reputable 2 stroke builder might not know...My 2 didnt..poor assembly, wrong torqes, no leakdown test, no loctite in loctite spots...ug... I guess my point is, dont be picky about location...If ya gotta ship it you gotta ship it...Find a proven banshee guy here or wherever...some of these guys got this down to a perfect science...On one of those videos, the guy was so picky about a bunch of things, and explained why, which was cool.. My last bad builder ripped my gaadam inserts out my brand new tank!!( the ones the plastics tie into), im so mad!!...Dude just didnt have a clue...A banshee guy would not have done that.... This last builder is a famous mx rider from the 70's 80's..Been doin his own work for a hundred years, thought for sure hed do my motor right...nope...another 3k set on fire...Im down 5k now, and my quad is sittin out there leaking a little bit from everywhere...who knows about the insides Dont be me! lol...at least watch some vids so you have a good feel on whats supposed to be done...Then youll have good questions for a local guy at least, maybe be able to get a read on his skillset...My moneys gone, so i actually have to learn and do it all myself now...which i am now cool with
  4. OK wow...My buddy said same thing, thought he was crazy..THX!!
  5. The two plugs that are on either side of the front sproket....The left one has a big wad of JB there, and Im 99% sure its seeping oil How do i get that stuff off from there? I plan to hammer in a new plug, and possibly find the proper welder to perma seal the deal...I dont think they would need to ever come out for a rebuild if ive done enough reading here about it.. I got 20 minutes on a fresh rebuild, come home 2 days later and find oil just under the neutral cover thingy...Got a seal kit comin if im wrong, but the JB looks seepy! The shop that did my motor raked me hard, not doin that again.. Any knowledge on this would be awesome...thx
  6. yamahabansheedealership.company.site If you Google Yamaha Banshee dealership, this place comes up on Facebook, and then has the above link for the company site.. Anybody know if this place is legitimate or not?
  7. this isnt the gd looking to buy section anyways!!!.....
  8. jesus dood COMPLETE BIKES ONLY!!!!.....you are why i cant make it in public anymore, too many of you people!!!jesus dood really?
  9. UPDATE; Figured it out...one of the zeroes was a C...... Also learned never any Q's or O's or I's in a banshee vin...only zeros always i'll be back lol, i know nothing and am startin from scratch with everything...heh heh
  10. JY43GGWQ9K0002046 That's what it looks like with one digit in question, the q might not be a q... I guess the zeros could be O's... I think I've tried it every which way in the search engines and it keeps coming back invalid... Of course I bought this off of Craigslist... Seller didn't seem sketchy at all, like a family guy in a nice house... I do have a good engine number but I don't know if that will help tell me if this thing is stolen or not... Afraid to proceed fixing up this possible 1989 banshee until I know... Any ideas or guesses would be appreciated... Thanks! Mike in Tucson
