  1. They answered every other question I asked them and they shipped my cheetah kit and crank really quickly but for some reason they just wouldn't tell me what needle to start with. I want to start as close as I can to the right needle cause it's a 2 hour drive for me to do a plug chop
  2. I built the motor myself with YouTube videos and Clymer manual from parts I bought from FAST. I didn't buy the jets or needles from him because I wanted genuine keihin but he wouldn't tell me which needle I needed. He just kept saying over and over that he could add needles to my order. I know I'm being picky but I want genuine and his are aftermarket.
  3. I got 2 39mm keihins for a brand new cub build and was told by FAST that the needles that come in the carbs aren't even close to what I'll need. Does anyone here have an idea of what I should start with? It's a 421 cub with shearer sbif vforce 4 reeds and at sea level. Jeff told me the needles weren't right but didn't want to tell me what to go too.
  4. I don't care about a bit of work I was just wondering if anybody has done this and what the results were. I don't have the money for $1000 OEM plastics and I think the rounded corners on most aftermarket plastics are uglier than the scratches. I didn't think about trying a spot under the plastics. I feel like an idiot now 🤣
  5. I was told that if I sand the scratches out of my plastics working my way up to the finest paper I can then go over them with a heat gun until they are as smooth as possible then coat them with a good car wax they will look brand new. Anybody know if that's true? I'm scared to see for myself.
  6. Does anyone here know if the oversized radiators from fast fits behind the stock grill without modification?
  7. Does anyone know if stellar performance swingarms are made to be used with a linkage or not? Their site doesn't say and they haven't responded yet.
  8. Anybody? I dont mind paying xtra for my cub but want to know why when everybody says cubs take stock head studs.
  9. I need advice on what jets I should start out on for a brand new 421 cub and how big of a range of jets I should get to get it dialed in. It has 4mm hot rods crank, shearer in frames, noss machine head with 20cc domes, vforce4 reeds, 39 pwk carbs and I ride at sea level. The carbs came with 150 mains and 50 pilots. Any advice would be appreciated.
  10. Does anyone know the difference between the stock and cub head studs fast sells? I thought both cylinders used same head studs and you only needed different for pro design head?
  11. I'm getting a 421 cub built soon and was wondering if you needed to wait until after engine break in to get an accurate plug chop. I've watched all the videos I could find and think I got the process down but none of them mention if you could do the chop on brand new build.
  12. 50:1 of what oil? 32:1 of what oil? Ratio depends completley on premixed. Running 32:1 on a oil that was designed for 50:1 will be way rich and 50:1 on a oil designed for 32:1 will be way lean. Always read recommended ratio on the premix. The manuals recommended ratio is for a specific premix.
  13. Does anyone know of a paint that somewhat matches a 04 red frame. I want to touch up a few chips and the frame isnt bad enough to justify redoing the whole thing.
  14. I'm in the process of gathering parts for a 421 cheetah cub build and was trying to figure out if a regular duel pingle valve would do or if I need their guzzler. I'll be running 39 pwk's with f.a.s.t billet bowls and I ride wide open dunes with up to 2 mile stretches.
  15. My cousin got a good deal on a used CP cylinder but the seller wasn't sure if it was a serval or a cheetah cub. I just got a cheetah cub cylinder from F.A.S.T and he already had a serval but all three cylinder look the same to us side by side. Is there a way to tell them apart?
