  1. Thank you. What i thought but was hoping I could get lucky till next winter/it was just a thread and not a spot welded nut... gotta love start of the season issues lol. Best part the new foot pegs wont fit without different brackets and even then I feel will make shifting feel awkward. Thanks again for that link though!
  2. No matter what im gonna have to cut the face of it off. Re weld then tap it, or thats my only idea still a month later lol Sent from my SM-S928U1 using Tapatalk
  3. Sorry for taking so long been hovering around 0 degrees all February. Ended up cutting the head off the bolt but yeah the headless bolt just spins and acts as if theres a nut or thread that broke free Sent from my SM-S928U1 using Tapatalk
  4. So went to pull my nerf bars, basically threw my 3/8 e ratchet on it and I thought the bolt snapped. Sadly I was not that lucky. I thought the frame had threads for the bolts, obviously not cause if I try to pull the bolt its like there's a nut behind it/guessing there is and I broke the spot welds. Any creative ideas that dont require me cutting the face off? You guys think I can cut the head of the bolt off put a couple dabs of JB weld and hopefully it sticks to the inside of the frame? I plan on powder coating end of this season aka I'll cut the face off then just trying to avoid a ugly paint spot all season. I cant post pictures here theyre too large but the bolt wiggles side to side and in and out, just not out all the way out. Thanks in advancee
  5. I haven't pulled my carbs apart yet but figured someone here would probably have a good idea on where to start off with my jetting. Runs real rich right now I'll update with current jet sizes here soon Stock carbs Cool head w 20cc domes Aggressive/drag port VF4s Timing +5 although when I get a flywheel puller it'll be going down to +4 Pro circuit pipes Air pods/no air box 751' is my elevation, 75° is the avg temp
  6. I don't gotta be worried about it rusting up real bad after using a wire wheel? That forum from 05 I seen had a guy saying he used a wire wheel and not he can't keep his from rusting really bad.
  7. Hey guys so I got my shee out and ripped it all throughout the winter (mainly street riding since the snow was too much for it) and obviously everything started to rust after a good amount of riding, I was wondering if anyone in here has figured out a good way to clean stock axles? I seen a forum from 2005 but it didn't really give me the answer I wanted so I figured I'd see if anyone found out a new trick in the last 17yrs. Thanks in advance!
  8. So i was up north riding and well i lost half my compression over night, went home pulled my cylinders off they look good (been sleeved by the previous owner also claims he did a top end he said about 5hrs on it) pistons still had machining rings on them but could be replaced (i do plan on replacing them) anyways I want some thought on what to do for my power, i was gonna get a modquad cool head but i seen a lot of you like the noss heads more. Keep in mind i wanna stay on 93 octane, i also may do a hinsom clutch since i think mines starting to slip here and there but as of right now it has the TORS delete, K&N pods, carbon fiber reeds, boost bottle, and fmf pipes. My stator plate is at +6 or +5 i plan on putting it down to +4 idk what the guy before me was tryna do with it but i dont think he really had a clue.
  9. I'm assuming the banshee has stock jetting since the dude had no idea when it came to carbs but i plan on pulling it apart tomorrow so I'll get you guys the main and pilot then but what do you guys think it'll need for jets? I'm running fmf fattys with their silencers, carbon fiber reeds, uni pods (may switch to K&N down the road), and a TORS delete if that matters. Lately when i been riding I'll be going and it'll just bog out but it will start right up again and bog out a min or so later again (goes further if i let it run for a min with the gaa off after starting it) and I've noticed its dripping gas outta the over flow pretty often, I'm tearing them down and cleaning them while I'm at it
  10. Okay cause it wasn't leaking the day i got it it just did it the other day so i parked it and was gonna pull the motor to get them welded shut but i didnt even think of that (intake manifold does have a bit of oil on it so i 100% agree) but i shouldn't worry about those holes when i go to the dunes in a couple weeks?
  11. So i just picked up a 01 banshee and been riding it well other day i noticed it was dripping oil from the bottom case so i put it on my lift and long story short there 2 holes on the bottom case that go all the way through to the top. (One in between the heads and the other one is just below the stator cover) the dude who i bought it from JB welded the bottom hole so i thought i needed new cases but i fpund out theyre suppose to be there to allow grass, water, etc to pass though rather then pile up underneath the carbs. My issue is im 99% sure i was dripping oil out of that hole what should i do? Everyone says not to weld the holes but same time i think thats my only fix to stop the leak i cant submit photos cause theyre over 52kbs but im sure the holes are in any banshee, but isn't it harmful to have holes in the case especially when i plan on doing some dune riding?
