  1. Guess I’m also just used to having plated cylinders. Banshee is the first 2 stroke I’ve had with a cast iron bore
  2. Far as I know they are cast bore for stock OEM. They sell so many different types of cylinders on eBay anymore, for cheap. It’s hard telling what you have when you buy a used bike.
  3. They sell stock bore AM cylinders, I’m unsure of the type of bore though.
  4. If they are cast iron sleeved then you can just machine them without plating. Depends on what cylinders you have
  5. If they are nikasil coated and you bore em 1 mm. Then yes they need plated.
  6. Ah, I’ve just never heard em called boyenssen
  7. Well if you have you cylinder cut for .002 less than the piston. The plating guy would have to cut more in order to keep that clearance after plating.
  8. Don’t you normally Want the guy that’s going to be doing the plating to be involved when deciding how much to over bore and allow for plating thickness?
  9. Were you asking me or the OP? I’ve never messed with much other than Nikasil bores or similar
  10. Who do you guys send your cylinders too to get bored? U.S. Chrome? Millennium? or other
  11. If the pistons are scored then it needs to come apart either way. The cylinders may clean up, but I’d definitely get some new slugs
  12. Yup, I figured that was the line. yeah I bought one off eBay
  13. Buddy of mine told me that if your bored and ported, that he would definitely Have the crank welded.
  14. Thanks, I’ll get it swapped out. There is a line in the casting, I’m assuming that is where you orientate the timing from.
  15. Lot of good stuff in there, used to have it on my old laptop. I should order the actual book
  16. It is a cast one on there now. Junk?
  17. In my eyes it’s better than ethanol. that shit is aweful
