  1. gotchya, so inside of the end caps there should be a washer and a seal? The only thing actually inside of the swing arm is that metal tube, and the two needle bearing on opposite ends. Correct me if I’m wrong.
  2. What’s the company you used?
  3. Hey Guys, I want to change the bearings in my swing arm. I was looking at the OEM diagram on Motorsport, and I saw that inside the swing arm there’s suppose to be a long tube along with two bearings on opposite ends, which I understand. My question is, is there suppose to be an oil seal inside the swing arm right after the bearings? There usually is an oil seal right on top of bearings, thats mechanics 101, so no dirt or water gets into the bearing. Let me know what you guy think, and here’s the diagram I was looking at. https://www.motosport.com/oem-parts/yamaha/2000/banshee/rear-arm
  4. I’ll look into redline and fast. I may simply do a 4 mil with stock ported cylinders, cool head, V force reeds, stock carbs and Toomey Pipes for this. What do you all think.
  5. Hello, I recently got an engine from a pothead for about 800 bucks. The engine is stock, and it’s missing reeds, intake boots, spark plugs, clutch disks, and a kicker. I want to rebuild this engine and make it a sleeper. My main priority is reliability. I’m leaning towards a 421cub. But I’m one of those guys where I ride really hard, I’m full throttle in every gear. Therefore, I need a setup that’s conducive to my riding that won’t break down on me when I’m in the trails. I recently contacted HerrJuggs. Has anyone ever used them? What engine building company would you recommend?
  6. Ehh, I already got em. I got a great price for all 4 (100 buck). They're functional, just cosmetic.
  7. Hey Guys, I'm starting my banshee build. I recently purchased a frame, and the entire front end and rear end. I want to do some powder coating and sandblasting to some of these parts, visually and cosmetically they're in bad shape. I want to start with the front end, heres my idea for the front end components. Please give me feedback. Front End Wheel Hub- Powder coated to OEM silver (Inner bearings will be removed along with brake rotor) Tie Rod- Powder coated to OEM silver. (Tie Rod ends will be removed). A- Arms- Sandblasted (NO powder coating) Brake Calipers- Sandblasted (Piston will be pushed back, brake pads taken out, brake line taken out) Two Questions: I really want to get the brake calipers powder coated. However..... Do I have to get the piston out if I'm doing sandblasting? If I just do sandblasting, would I still have to get the piston out? Lastly, for the A arms I was told that they can't be powder coated because the oven will melt the ball joint at the corner which makes sense, so would sandblasting be the best bet for those? Please let me know. Thank you.
  8. All advice is highly appreciated.
  9. Thanks for replaying guys, what are some other good brands?
  10. Hello, I’m starting a new banshee build. I ordered a frame from Oregon. I want to start with the A arms. I’m interested in Full flight racing A arms and tie rod. 1. Has any one ever used them? 2. Do they come with the bolts and the bushings? 3. Would you recommend greasing up the inside of the arm before sliding the bolt through? Just to mitigate the risk of any future water damage, dirt, sand, or rust. I also like using anti- seize on the end bolts, or anywhere else that likes to seize up over time. Let me know what you guys think. Thank you.
  11. Hello Banshee community, I’m looking for a banshee frame, I’m on the east cost (New York). We can organize a pickup day. Please let me know what you got. Thank you.
  12. Hello Guys, I am looking to start a new project. I'm looking for a used banshee my budget is $2,000. I'm able to pick up anywhere in the east coast.
  13. Goodevening guys, I've been looking for a banshee frame to start and I can't seem to find a used one in my price range. Please help. Thank you.
  14. So I found a guy seeking a 1998 banshee for 2500. The bike has aftermarket plastics. Anybody know where I can find a banshee for lower. If you know any one with a used banshee for 1,000 I’ll take it. 2500 is a lil steep for a bike in taking down to pieces and rebuilding
  15. Now the question is, where can I find one? Rollers are easy to come by but complete banshees are hard to come by in my neck of the woods I’m from New York most of the ones I see on eBay or in California.
  16. I’m interested in the frame, im from New York
  17. True, ground up would be costly. Keep the opinions coming!!! Also where can I find a used banshee. I would like one in my garage ASAP, and get started on my project. It will all be a learning process.
  18. Any sources you can point me to, to get one. Also do you recommend starting with a frame?
  19. Since I would like to build up then I’m paying for parts as I go. I would like to get good genunine parts for my bike.
  20. It will be used for leisure, and also some off road riding. Most importantly it’ll be a hobby of mine that will he garage kept. I am a little mechanical savvy at this level, but not on a car level lol. But a two stroke engine I can work with. Based on what I already know and the help you of guys I can be led in the right direction. Should I just buy a frame first or.....?
  21. Hello All, I’m a New York guy that’s new to banshees. Growing up I had motor bikes, and I’m familiar with how engines work. I would like to start my own banshee build. If some of you can lead me in the right direction that’ll be great. I was thinking about buying a bare frame to begin with and start from there. Im humble and open to opinions. Take care guys.
