those are blackandyellowbanshee's shocks haha glad he sold them. good stuff, looks better without the shock covers imo
Hahaha they are indeed! I agree they look much better off.

Here is the first lap after completing the build! I took it easy on the first lap then checked everything out. So far everything is looking good! Definitely need to adjust suspension though. I keep washing out of corners wide. Thinking the rear shock ride height is set too low? Any advice on ride height in general would be appreciated! Want to get the most out of these long travel shocks.

Nice. Have you verified the nut on the ball joint clears the resivoir on compression?
Glad I checked the clearance out again. While I was able to clear the ball joint initially by shifting things around slightly I noticed that if I 100% bottomed it out I would have ruined the rezzies! I was able to move them to the front / behind the spring and everything clears now! These PEP rezzies are huge lol.
Now waiting on a damn swingarm rebuild kit of all things lol

Isn’t the reservoir able to be adjusted within the reservoir mount on those?
Damn good shocks as long as they’re dialed in right.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkThanks! Love them so far haha. I can adjust them now but may move the rezzies altogether

Thanks! Yea I actually had to move the rezzies forward a bit to clear the a-arms. May mount them as remote rather than piggyback one day. We’ll see how it goes!

How much for the Elkas?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk$500. Bought them brand new in April. Valved for 185 lbs. Was running them on Lonestar +2+1 A-Arms. Comes with the guards too

Just got my shocks! Well packaged and got here quick 👍 thanks again!!

Update!
I got a great deal on some PEP ZPS Long Travel Shocks! So the adapters on the a arms are gone and so are the Elkas. Old elkas are up for sale on the FB page.

oh nice. i really wanna try the cst pulse tires looks like they hook hard..
that seat tho.. hehe
lol I know I know. I am considering sending ts back to have them add more foam. Love the look and the material used just not enough padding.

thats one good looking ride. how do those tires hook?
Thanks man!! They're amazing! Pretty damn pricey though. To be honest when these wear out I'll get the same ones my Wife runs. QuadBoss QBT tires. They hook very well and it's a steal for 4-Ply tires. All for 1/3rd the price of those RAZR2's. Can't wait for the track this weekend. Definitely need to get video!

Man that thing looks ready! Not sure though why you went low profile seat? Also be nice if you had some long travel fox shocks!
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkThanks!! Yea I wish I left the foam alone lol. Looks sweet though! I've got another seat I swap to on those longer rides. The low profile helps a little when dipping into the turns on a track. I swapped to those new Alba A-Arms that will allow me to switch to long travel eventually. Done putting $ into this one one for a while lol. That black Banshee is my Wife's which is also almost finished! Finishing the front end this weekend.

After waiting on a few key parts it’s finally back together!

Very easy...loco posted some good pics on how to weld those in.
Cool! Thanks! Glad to hear it's not too difficult. I bought the kit but will only need to use 1 for now. This winter I am considering powder-coating the frame. I'll probably do all four inserts when or if i do powder.
-
After some research I ended up ordering a pair of used Raptor 700 Front Calipers off eBay for $70:
I also ordered Alba Racing's new Adjustable 2+1 A-Arms that can switch between standard and long travel shocks. My wife's Banshee will be inheriting my LSR A-Arms once her rebuilt Works Dual Rate Shocks get delivered.
One thing I was unable to find on here was a write up on how to weld in these JDS threaded peg inserts. I went and bought a welder and will do a write up if it turns out OK. Been a few years since I've welded anything lol.
More pics soon!!
Upgrading to 28mm PWK's from Stock Carbs

Hey Everybody!
Recently tuned my carbs again and FINALLY got it dialed in 100%. I installed #42 Pilots and a JJH Needle on the middle clip. Now it idles and rips smoothly throughout the whole powerband. I suspect the Toomey needles I had in there initially were slightly too lean along with the pilot jet. Anyways here is (hopefully) my final jetting setup for my 4mil:
ELEVATION: 5351 Feet
TEMPERATURE: 60 Degrees Faranheight
ENGINE: (CT Racing 4 mil Stroker):
MX Porting by CT Racing
Toomey T5 Pipes & Silencers
NGK BR8ES Spark Plugs
VForce 4 Reed Cages
Chariot Billet Intakes
CFM Aluminum Air Box (No Lid)
K&N RU-0700 Filters & Pre-Chargers
Hot Rods 4mil Crankshaft
Vertex 66mm Blaster Pistons (22569)
Vito's Hemi Head V
-Pro Design 19cc Domes (Cut for 4mil crank)
-160 psi per cylinder
CARB SETTINGS: (55 - 75 Degrees Faranheight):
28mm Keihin PWK Carbs
91 Octane Pump gas @ 32:1 (Castor 927)
#42 Pilot Jets
#142 Main Jets
JJH Needles
#3 / Middle Needle Position
Idle Screw 50% in
Air Screws 1/2 Turn Out
