  1. Thanks man I'll probably go ahead and get the 23cc domes then. I'm gonna run 33pwk carbs on it. But I'm still getting parts together. I'm probably still gonna run my stock dune ported motor this summer and finish this one in the fall.
  2. I live near Flint also, lol. So same as you. We're you good on 93 with the 23cc
  3. Hey guys. What size domes would be good for 93 octane on 421 driveline lp. I mix 50/50 now on stock cylinders with 20cc domes but would like to run straight 93 for long trips up north and not have to lug around race gas with me, unless it will noticeably hurt performance.
  4. You already have most of the basic mods. For cheap you could do an adjustable timing plate and run it +4. A coolhead with some 20-22cc domes would bump compression up a little.
  5. Ya, I decided that was what I'm gonna run. Thank you
  6. What size are most of you guys running? One of my 33pwk has a #6 and one a #8. Obviously I need to buy one to match, which should I get. Thanks for any advice
  7. I will let you know. Gonna be a few months before I get more parts. Wish it would warm up a little
  8. That's not a bad idea. I don't have trouble keeping it down now so I'll have to see I guess. I have also thought about staying stock length and just getting a roundhouse style arm
  9. Hey guys, This is gonna be my thread for asking some questions while I mess with this thing for the next little while. I have had my banshee since I got it new for my 16th birthday. I have done the usual mods over the years like t5s,timing plate, coolhead, billet intake and pods. Bought some ported jugs 10-12 yrs ago and it has ran pretty well. But has not been freshened up since.( sat for 5+ yrs at one point: kids, house, other projects ect.). Bought my son one of those cheapo china quads a couple years ago and followed him one time in the trails in the rzr, pulled the banshee out that day and been hooked again lol. Anyways I have almost all the parts to build a driveline lp 421 which I will be doing next winter. I have never touched the suspension so that has been this winter's project. So far I have +2+1 lonestar a arms and elka stage 3 front shocks set up for me( 160lb rider, trail/dune). My first question is opinions on swingarms. I ride 75% trail 25% dune. I've been torn between a -1 and a +2. I like the whole idea of balancing the bike better with the -1 but am worried about keeping the front end down in the dunes or on hills. I'm a good rider but I'm not the best either. Which would you guys run.
  10. If your compression is really 90psi , then that is a big part of your problem.
  11. I have a buddy who has a lt250r and runs a 34 pj. We are gonna pull the jug this winter and get it ported and I been talking to him about getting a 39 pwk. We are going riding this weekend I will talk to him and he might buy it if you still have it then
  12. Ok. I'm out by Fenton and Grand bland rd. I'll have to hit u up one of these days when we go and see if u want to
  13. Can't go this weekend but would love to get out there with you guys one of these days. I'm in the flint area too Ayesully, where abouts are you? You go to the mounds often? Me and my buddy ( he has a lt250r) go once and a while.
  14. I like my toomey t5 as well. I trail ride and dune with them and they seem to pull good from the mid range up.Also seem no worse on bottom end than stock pipes .But for 700 bucks you might as well get shearers.
  15. Stock needles on the middle clip would prob work fine but the toomey needles wouldn't hurt. Just gonna have to try it one way and see how it feels. With the setups that have been suggested you should be close and no where near lean enough to damage it.
  16. Try starting off somewhere around a 300-320 main 27.5 pilot and air screw 1.5 turns out. Should b pretty close. I usually tune by ear and feel. A rich condition will break up under throttle and a lean condition will bog and kind of " howl"
