  1. Hi all, I bought a polished clutch cover and will try to install it this weekend. I'm still new to repairs myself... So any input will be greatly appreciated! So far I bought a gasket for the water pump , a gasket for the cover and new bolts. I am also aware that I will need to drain the oil and anti freeze. In videos I noticed that vent tube, still researching that part.... I have two questions, Will I need any other gaskets or parts? & What parts do I need to remove from the old clutch cover and reinstall to the new cover. Thanks
  2. Thank you everyone Appreciate the help
  3. No I don't know much about electroplating. My cousin has a shop where they do this stuff.. He said there is a process they use to plate the plastic. I don't know what it's called but I do understand why you wrote that. Yes the cover is plastic not metal. I get it.. My concern was the post stating a dowel I didn't see. Thanks
  4. The dowel... Is it attached to the stator cover? Or on the bike side? Metal ?? Plastic?? Thanks
  5. Awesome Thanks for the clear fast response. That's an amazing one on eBay! Wish I had extra $ for that one!! Thanks again
  6. Hi I want to have the plastic stator cover on my Banshee electroplated silver or chrome. I don't have much experience working on these... My question is, is there anything I should be aware or concerned about when removing the stator cover?? Ex: fluids, gaskets, parts attached to stator cover??? Or will it just come off and I just need to inspect the rubber gasket when it's time to re-install the cover? Thanks !
  7. Will do, I will look him up. I asked the guy who came by to look at choke tube. He said it was working fine. I'll ask the next guy to look into that too.
  8. It sounds like I Should have someone else look at it. Get a second opinion. I don't have a trailer to pull it around so I have to ask mechanics to do house calls and it's not easy finding people willing to do that.. Anyone here from long island NY?? Want to make a few extra bucks??
  9. I give up. I'm just going to replace with a new clutch. Anyone know, do I buy a Tusk or Vito's?? Both about the same price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/141784880021 Or https://www.ebay.com/itm/172355560587 Thanks! Any input very much appreciated!
  10. Lever didn't have alot of play. And is that not the right oil mix? Was only going by what the kid I bought it from told me he was using. If that mix is wrong please let me know, I don't know much about this stuff. Maybe I should just have the clutch changed and not have to worry about it...

  12. FMF Fatty Gold A jet came with the pipes, I'm not sure what size it was.. Someone did the install for me. But that's the one that's in now 24/1 yamalube with 93 octane Stock air box with a UNI filter
  13. I did a compression test. About 118 on both sides. It's not bogged down when taking off.. There is never a point when in letting off the clutch where I can slowly roll. It's either give gas and take off really quickly or if I don't give alot of gas it will stall. Starts up with no issues. I had a jet kit and pipes installed recently but it was doing this before I installed the pipes... I'm trying to make a video to post.. If a clutch needs replacing will it fail for all gears?? Or could my situation where only going in to first gear is a sign of bad clutch? I know it's hard to diagnose a problem without seeing the bike, so I want to say thank you to all! I appreciate your input.

  16. Do you have OEM air filter plastic bracket?
  17. Is it normal to have to give the banshee alot of gas from a stop in first gear?? If I don't take off fast it will stall... There is no point that it will start to roll slow. It's either take off fast or stall, no slow rolling start. I'm trying to figure out if clutch needs replacing or if this is typical. Thanks
  18. Do you have an air filter bracket guide?
