  1. Just want to pass along a thank you to Claude Machining for these pipe hangars. Definitely better then stock and miles a head of my current Modquad set. Very fast shipping and great person to purchase from. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
  2. Bought a set of pipe hangars from him. Can't wait to see them. Plus rather deal with members of this community to purchase parts
  3. Lol veins and all. That mean machining skill.
  4. That sucks. Try logging on to Yamaha web site under parts and accessories section. You can pull up your year bike with all part numbers with the VIN that you can give to your dealer. Or call Yamaha and speak to a parts specialist, they will tell you if parts are available or back ordered Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
  5. I use a o-ring lube called Molly Coat 55 (this is is in Canada though eh ). Its used in aviation on o-rings and seals. Its also used in high end paintball markers. Its a lube that causes the o-ring to swell back to it original size but maintain its integrity and lubricates. You can get it at specialized shops in Canada. Its expensive stuff to get the name brand. I will take a look through my paint ball stuff to find the name of the paintball o-ring lube. Same stuff different name and smaller size (save you money).
  6. I'm in Ontario. With tax fronts were 450.00. I have purchased most of my parts from sight sponsors, much better people to deal with, share the same interest and have been extremely helpful. The fenders have been the only big purchase from the dealer so far. I find the dealers are not very helpful or informed, since they consider a 2007 Banshee a classic and don't see them in much I'm told. I was told by two different dealers that these fenders (red) were no longer available.( only color they showed in stock was the purplish blue) I used to work for a Yamaha dealer for a short period of time a long time ago. I ended up calling Yamaha directly in Toronto, spoke with a parts logistics specialist. Gave them the vin of bike to pull up all part numbers list for that year banshee (2007). They provided the correct part number for front fenders and confirmed stock in Japan. He gave me the option to order the fender and have it go to my local dealer with a credit card deposit. Which worked out great as the dealer had to stick with Yamaha's retail price and not add on any extra mark up. As for availablity all the stuff I had quoted was available but way over priced. My local dealer has a very limited aftermarket parts for the Banshee. They have nothing in terms of aftermarket a-arms suspension kits, so I'm still on the hunt. Motosport.com for OEM parts is really good. All prices you pay is to your door including duty and HDS racing ship to Canada they also have a warehouse in Winnipeg, both of these places prices seem ok.
  7. On back order. As I thought all was coming at same time.
  8. Snow is melting and parts are rolling in. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
  9. Hello all. Just wanted to see if there are any site sponsors located in Canada, for aftermarket or custom parts. Thanks again
  10. I was thinking that just by looking at the gauge of the wire windings. What is the reliability and longevity of these units. I've read mixed reviews thus far. I did get a oem cdi from a local dealer who was clearing out old inventory so was happy there. Will have to finish build and look at a new stator at some points.
  11. Thanks for confirming ZillaFreak. Has any aftermarket company made an good reliable replacement cdi. Priced one at Yamaha stealer and was shocked at what they are asking. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
  12. Getting the itch, snow is melting fast. Is this stator look OEM to you guys?. I'm kind of leaning to its aftermarket but wanted to see what others thought. Every thing electrical was working fine when I started rebuild, I was able to pick up a new OEM CDI for crazy cheap local. I know that everyone has said OEM co and stators are the best to run. May get one when budget permits. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
  13. I will have a chat with them when I get the parts down to them. They have said that they protect all the surfaces that can't have powder on them. Since its -27 degrees celsius with wind chill the shop is closed for the day
  14. Great advice, will do that tonight. Stupit question what are the plugs for?
  15. Good evening all. As the topic says, I'm getting all smaller parts ready to go to powder coat. I'm having the cylinders re powder coated and was wondering if this plug needs to be removed? I would assume yes but was not certain. Thanks in advanced. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
  16. I will check that one out. I was looking at the Trail Tech one with the temp, speed, rpm ECT but from reading on here, they seem to be hit and miss for working correctly. Would rather have something simple that works. Very clean motor by they way
  17. Make perfect sense. Only thing here is you better have insurance and a trail system pass. Most times you get a warning with no trail permit, but other times you have to buy a permit on the spot or get a ticket. If your riding off your property, you have to have insurance, That's all they check
  18. Forgive my ignorance, but is it a requirement to have spark arrestor to ride where you are or is it just in case.
  19. Good idea. The stock one is still in great shape so will be a spare. Aussie eh, banshee's were available there till 2012 correct?
  20. I put it up against the stock rad as frame is out for powder coating. Two of the mounts look spot on but one on the left seems off a bit. Will know for sure when frame gets back. For price I can deal with moding the mount. Agreed compared to price from the Yamaha stealer
  21. Just received a new oversize rad with silicone hoses from China off of eBay. Seller is winner racing. Rad made it to my door in 9 day, fast for coming from China to Canada. The Rad was was packaged and protected well as there was damage to the box itself, but rad was not damaged. The rad it self seems to be put together well. There are a few spots where the welding is not the greatest, but total cost for rad and full set of silicon hose for 140.00 Canadian, so no complaints here. The cap does look a little cheap will prob try to find a cap with a temp gauge built in to replace with. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
  22. Ok perfect. Thanks for the info.
  23. I'm assuming you mean theses Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
  24. They look square to me. Since its a new OEM CDI I will run it and have the after market one for back up just in case. Thanks for the on info Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
