I was just reading the post My launch sucks...Some good tips that i am going to try. I my self am new at drag racing these things and would like to do it more. My problem is also the launch. Can you guys give me any pointers on revving and clutching at take off. Either i slip the clutch too long and have to play catch up down the track or i get pre-mature and end up popping the clutch and standing the thing on it's tail end. I can't find an happy medium. Don't laugh but I getting ready to by my third set of clutch's with in about a year's time. I am not a stupid person but i can't get this figured out for the life of me.........frustrated!!!!!

I don't know exactly which bearing it was. The shop we took the motor to told us it was a lower end bearing. That the pits in the head and the piston dome was from debris that came from the lower end and getting past the rings. It even put an hair line crack on the intake side of the cylinders. The case oil when drained was full of copper shreds. Any-who, i am kinda new at all this so i didn't argue. Just got out the old check book and spent some money i didn't have. Just thought i would give ol' ruff my .02.

I would drain the case oil, look for debris. My little bro's blaster did the same thing. It ended up being the start of a lower end bearing going. Some how the little pieces of bearing (copper) were passing by the rings. Causing the piston dome & head to pit. We caught it early but the damage was already done to the cylinder wall. Hope this helps..

What is this?? -
I plan on doing the same thing cause my pockets to go deep enough for both. A guy that i have road with a couple of times. Just has the aftermarket shocks with stock arms. He says he could feel a world of difference. Made the ride more comfortable through the woops and jumps. I never got the chance to ride his shee, to see for myself. He's got more riding time than i have so i respect his opinion. I also thought about having my stock shocks rebuilt with heavier springs. Hopefully i can get lucky and find someone local that can do the work. I dont know if i would save any money this way cause the Works shocks are pretty cheap on e-bay. Its always good to look at all your options.....Hope that ramble helped....

Hey Meat, My back has never been injured. But i have always had lower back pains. I get two knots on both sides of my spin. My last Doc. said that 90% of all lower back pain is due to the muscles in the back of your legs being tight, making your back work overtime. He said that a 10min stretch of the legs every morning would take care of alot of the pain. Worth a shot.... Its been working for me too JKJK...

For what its worth, mine was doing the same thing. I thought i had replaced and tried everything until someone suggested that i check my spark plug boots. Sure enough i put new ones on and presto no probs. The others were a littel rusty when i broke them apart. Not enough spark to fire the bike but enough to keep it running after i pull start it. "WEIRD"

Hey ultimateduner, To get ride of that spyware go to this link and download this spyware detector/remover. Its a free program, and works good for me. Its called Adware 6. It's a good tool to have and run after you have been on file sharing sites like Kazaa. Thats were most of your spyware comes from. Good luck http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10045910...page&tag=button

Thanks Nyuk, So it does have to be a certain type of dyno? I couldn't just go to my local hotrod shop that may have a dyno machine? If this is the case. I wont be getting mine dynoed anytime soon.
-
How would one go about getting his shee dynoed?

What Was You First Time Like?

Ah yes the nipple harding feel of the powerband. But what i wanna know is what it feels like with a shot of NOS. I know some of you guys on the HQ run it. Explain what kind of rush that is... -
So why not make the HQ a private members only website. If that many people feel so strongly about newbies. Its a no brainer if you ask me. That's only if you ask though.

I have changed clutch perch, lever, cable w/lube, and clutch kit (dirt diggers). This thing gets to be a monster to pull. I cant take the stiffness out ot it. My next step is a new basket. It is a 92 and still has the stock basket in it. Do you guys think this could be the issue? Thanks
-
So, does anyone know if you can get your stock shocks rebuilt? Maybe have them modified with dual or triple rate springs? With my riding syle i can't see paying $800 bones for something i wouldnt use to the fullest.

I would be interested in trading my banshee for a Ds 650. email @ [email protected]
