Lol glad u figured it out.. I honestly don't know why I did think of that to begin with because I had that happen before when I left my bike un covered for like 2 years... Pipes were clogged with rats nets.
Haha me either but oh well its tuned back up and running good
-
SUCCESS! I was talking to my buddy who runs sleds and he brought up since I was messing with the spark arrestor to see if the packing dislodged. Sure enough, clogged core. She's running great again... until I break something else hahaha.
Thanks for everything! I love the community on here and how helpful everyone is.

That compression doesn't concern you at all. I know you said that's what it had when you bought it and it's been running but that doesn't make it rite. If the rings are weak enough to give that low of a reading static once put under dynamic load they can experience blow by, flutter etc all things that make a two strokes run flunky
It would concern me more if it had dropped in one day and was different from the left cylinder. I am planning a rebuild later this year to take of the lower compression.

Is the choke hose on between the 2 carbs?
It is
-
Same cylinder, flywheel is keyed, not saying it's your issue but could be
I'll check that after I inspect my silencers, i installed new spark arrestor, and am hoping the new packing got dislodged into it...

I've only had this happen twice in 16yrs of fucken with these things. Flywheel was bad somehow. No rattle that I remember but drove myself crazy the first time. Compression/fuel/spark
When you had this problem if you switched plug wires did the problem move? Or stay in the same cylinder?
-
I'm getting spark, and plug has been wet so id assume I'm getting fuel. I ran it for a bit and was getting a wet exhaust. I pulled my expansion pipe and there was no build up of fuel in there
-
I didn't read everything, what's the compression at?
It is at 104psi. Same as when I got the bike last year.
I don't have a camera
-
So i hear like a ping coming from the right cylinder after the thermostat got to like 105
-
Ok, not a clogged fuel line. Going to swap carbs with my buddys
-
Did you take it off and look through it? I had a tiny piece of trash in there once on my yz250's pilot jet. I was only able to get it to idle with the choke since it bypasses the pilot somewhat. I stuck a needle or small paper clip to clean the blockage out. Before i swapped out all sorts of electrics etc and all it was was a free fix.
I was able to see through it, but at this point I'll try again, since it'll be off when I swap carbs. I may end up getting new jets, that are slightly larger. Since I'm running 290 mains
-
Dual fuel valve? Make sure you're getting fuel to both carbs. Might have a partial clog in the line.
I'll check that.
Im going to take my buddy's right carb and rejet it to my bike and see if that fixes it. After checking fuel line.

New plugs?
Sent from my ZTE T84 using Tapatalk
I'm on my third set, just to be sure lol
-
Stock carbs? Bowls are left and right specific.
I have had it running correctly since cleaning both, and I make sure that I only do one at a time. I've messed it up when I first got them though. Lol

I give this guy credit seems like he's really trying. Most people that come here are just lazy fucks
Thanks, I hate when my machines aren't running right. I don't like just throwing cash at it either, so im trying everything.

Ok swapped coils with a good running shee, still only left cylinder running right
- 1
-
Tried testing my coil, went plug wire to plug wire. Im getting 15.5kohms. Then when I go on the pins going into the coil. I get 0
-
Ok now it really isn't sparking... i need a beer
-
Put on a cdi box from a good running shee. Still asthma in the right
-
Also switched wires and still a right cylinder problem
-
Take boots off , set meter on kohm, stick leads to each wire look for between 4-7kohm. Put one boot on at a time testing as you go so you know if first boot is good. You can also test boot, stick one lead where wire goes and one where plug goes you should get same reading as touching two leads together
OK tested the boots, one was bad. Bought two new ones. Good spark. Started up. Right cylinder still seems to have asthma
-
I swapped boots and left side still had good spark. Im going to be checking with ohm today. What are the numbers to look for?
-
Un screw and pull off spark plug boots. Cut quarter inch of wire off, lube with dielectric grease, put boots back on. Try again
I will put grease on them. I cut some off the other day though
-
Ok just checked spark, and the right wire isn't producing any spark...
Right cylinder barely firing
