  1. I'm very impressed with their customer service at Alba. They've been around a long time and I did a lot of research before picking them to bore and port my banshee cylinders. They've been porting banshees since 1991 and it's dyno proven at the wheels. Plus they line bore and match your piston to the jug. They also hand file the rings. Top notch service all the way around with Alba.
  2. CPI is about a half hour from me and I had the same question so I asked the owner. He told me small bore is the best up to around 450cc. Big bores only help if it's big cc and straight up drag set up. You will lose a ton of low and mid with bb pipes if you dune/trail ride.
  3. Thanks man I'll give it try.
  4. I would definitely upgrade to a billet high flow impeller and put a new seal and bearing in it also. Make sure to heat the case cover up in the oven around 400° for a couple minutes before pressing or driving out old one and putting in New.
  5. I'd recommend sticking with the 22cc domes. At least research the compression ratio with 18cc domes. You might get stuck with race gas to have it run right or as capable per the domes. I'm having Alba do an aggresive trail/dune port and .40 bore. Plus 34mm billet intake and 34mm flat slides. I also thought about changing domes but everyone I asked said stick with 22cc. Something to think about before you order. We also ride sand mountain and Saint Anthony's Idaho.
  6. I've got a set of mint factory banshee shocks for sale. I bought yfz450 piggy backs for mine so I have no use for them.
  7. I have a 98 banshee and I split the cases for new seals while my cylinders are being bored and ported. I have everything in up to the transmission. Shift cam, shift star, rods & forks, adjustment bolt, shift shaft and shifter and transmission itself. It will shift 1st neutral and second but hangs up on the point of the shift star between second and third. I've taken it apart 3 times and put it together following my yamaha book and lower end walk through pics on here. I would assume u should be able to shift through all six vut maybe I'm wrong. I slid the upper case on but no clutch or basket, idler gear, etc. Hand shifted with it on the table. Any help greatly appreciated
  8. I just put my lower end together with new oil seals. Everything is identical to the pics. I'm up to having the transmission, shift cam, shift star and forks. My problem is I can only get 1st neutral and second gear. It hangs up on the point of the star between 2nd and 3rd. This is hand shifting with the shifter as It's on a table. I also slid the upper case on with no sealent just test shift. I would assume u should be able to shift through all 6. Maybe I'm wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated.
