  4. Upon more reading I think I understand the need of the idle screws for slide height at idle sorry I didn't fully register that last post you said. So correct me if I'm wrong when I get the idle screws those when set properly will hold the slides up so the cable doesn't need to?
  5. So there is no adjustment the way it is that could possibly work? Idk how sure I am of anything being problematic or just improperly tuned. Obviously I'll take your advice on the throttle and cables but if it could be adjusted as is I would like to to that. It wasn't doing any of this up until we messed with throttle adjustment and slides for the first time. And I strongly feel anyone who has messed with it or helped me might not have the slightest clue on how to do it right. I live in the middle of bumfuck nowhere everything is a long drive and of course at a cost out here
  6. I would upload pics but I haven't been able to. Says file too large
  7. I'll need a different tors setup for push throttle? Where can I find one? And is there a way to set it as is for right now? I'm out of build money unfortunately. It does have adjusters on top of caps.
  8. Upon jetting the other day we noticed slides were bottoming out all the way and wouldn't idle. We opened them up a bit (is there a spec height?) And it idled so we left it I'm hoping this us my problem along with too tight of twist throttle with no slack
  9. Yeah I took filters off last night the slides seem within reason. But I do know that the sync tool makes them exact. I have a feeling the cable is adjusted in such a way it's always giving a little throttle. My carbs don't have a screw to stop the bottom of slides so we guessed at where they had to be at idle. Also I don't think cables are loose enough to tel the engine it's not getting throttle. If that isn't it looks like leak down tester, carb sync tool are coming next. (BTW I hate the twist throttle too the p.o.s came on it when I bought it)
  10. Went out for a short ride today.. started up first kick and idled really high then reved out... I noticed one of the tops of carbs must have loosened up tightened it back down it sounded better figured that was my problem and continued my ride. About 4 miles out it started to over rev on me again I checked to make sure nothing fell off and made sure caps were tight and they were. Tried to start it back up and it reved out so I had my friend come pick me up and we threw it in truck and brought it home. I was thinking maybe it's the clearance of how much my slides are open at idle and my twist throttle is out of adjustment. Maybe lean still? Any ideas? This bike has thrown me some curveballs. I'm to the point where I know it has been through way too much I'm very close to just taking it in
  11. Alright I think I have a pretty good idea now. I'll report back after I chop plugs
  12. I also appreciate all the people who commented to help me get to this point banshre hq is awesome
  13. Ok guys I think we got it! It has a 300 main 30 pilot and it is running great idling on its own and revs out in all gears. I am pretty we got it but is there a way to solidify. I am going to plug chop but I need to know how to properly do it.
  14. Ok now I put the 300 in and the one carb isn't getting any gas.(only hit on one) took it off and it was dry. What does that mean
  15. Ok so I'll be going to store today he said he has all main jets which sizes to get 280,290,300? I would like to not have to go back
  16. And I didn't read a chart i talked to fmf on the phone and that's what they said. It does match what chart says tho
  17. So what actions are to be done to correct that?
  18. My guy is going to be here Wednesday to check the air screw adjustments and see if they make a difference .(don't trust myself) and no fmf told me starting point" 260 main 30 pilot needle clip on third space down 1 1/2 turns out so I never tried 27.5. I also had a 270 in preparation to go up a size in main I didn't figure it would be around 300 main I would need.
  19. It did smoke but I'm not sure how much is normal either. This is my first banshee
  20. I pulled out the plugs and they seem to be a coffeeish brown to tan a tad bit wet. It has been test ran two times first one 260 with stock pilot and second was 260 with 30 pilots. I took it out today 40 degrees or so started it. it almost goes and ot dies so I gave it a little throttle let it warm up a min and took it around the block. First gear was a little boggy and it wanted to die in first unless I had a little throttle.anything above that it ran hard and reved out completely to the best of my knowledge. As I stated I am no mechanic but the guy I've had working on it seems to think is is running rich not lean. He says we are close but I don't want to risk blowing it up everyone keeps telling me it is lean and mains need bigger I hope this specifies my situation a little better.
  21. To be honest I'm really just having a hell of a time jetting and getting it right and me not being entirely mechanically inclined I have my limits. I have so much money and emotions tied into it over the last 3 months I don't have the slightest clue if I'm doing things right or where to go from here
  22. Also what would symptoms be if I had slides in wrong? (It doesn't idle on its own)
  23. Ok so now I have the 30 pilots in with the 260 mains. Anyone wanna to tell me how to properly do a plug chop so I can send you guys pictures
