  1. Must be nice to have gotten it from a dealer who would allow it to stay crated. I bought the '06 too but in all black however my dealer would not sell it to me unless put together(they gave me the crate but I left it there). The dealer told me it was "insurance reasons" as to why they wouldn't sell it to me crated. So I bought it together but never fueled or fired & they didn't want to do that either but I told them I wouldn't buy it otherwise...so I still have it stored brand-new to this day. I did end up filling the base all the way to the top of the dipstick with oil plus fogged the piss out of both cylinders too. The dealer left all of the shipping grease, tags, etc. on it as well. I turn it over very gently once or twice a year to keep bearings moving & spin the tires too but "Shee's" never been ridden...or even sat on, I have another one for that purpose...if I ever get it back together; it was my brother's who did the same thing I did with mine but his got stolen/recovered & sold to me in a poor condition so I have a new one & a WIP one right now but still always wanted one crated, I even offered to sign waivers but was a no go on my dealer's end. Oh well.
  2. I have a brand-new, never-fueled '06 Banshee SE in beautiful black & if someone wants to give me $14,000 it'll be sold American!
  3. Hey buddy, I can help you out with a couple components if you're willing to pay the shipping from NY to your door for them, I'll sell them to you for $free$. I have a stock crank that's still got plenty of life in it & a lower case half as well. I have the upper case but it's junk due to a hole getting blasted in it above the tranny. I bought all new so I don't need this stuff sitting around anymore. Will save you some $$$ as opposed to me giving it to my scrap man. The parts are out of a 2006 SE Banshee that was bought brand-new, stolen, and returned in not-so-new condition but still running really good; I broke the upper case when taking it apart(dropped it on edge) to make a 4mil stroker out of it but bottom case is fine & crank is fine as well...I bought new ones, over $500! Email me at robyjony71@yahoo.com if something you might be interested in, not sure on shipping costs but I'll wager it's a lot cheaper than having to buy & ship these parts!...don't worry, I will not rip you off...I have a 100% feedback on Ebay with hundreds of replies, if that makes you feel better;)....just want to help another Banshee get back out there is all!
  4. Wow, seems like there's almost nothing not available for the Banshee. I'm shooting for pump gas, reliability, and some more oomph & I like a lot of the ideas I see already on here. Not too worried about up-grading the chassis now as the motor is the "heart" of it all anyhow IMO. This machine does need mega-parts as pretty much all bearings, bushings, etc. were spent on it but that's not a problem for me getting those taken care of. I want it to look similar to what it looked like B4 it got stolen with just a little more "flash" in the chrome dept. It definitely will never be brand-new again but at least I still have my original to gawk at if I need to see a new one. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions, I will surely look into all of them; no rush on this thing....just a beer-drinking project for the weekends I guess!
  5. Just recently acquired my brother's stolen 2006 Banshee SE which was never fueled when taken but returned to him...6 years later...basically destroyed with a concoction of parts on it. Anyhow, it's now my project Bansh. I'm looking for more power(typical) & am contemplating an engine kit from HJR utilizing the stock cylinders as opposed to going all-out on a motor which no doubt wouldn't be very trail-able for the type of riding I do, anyhow I like the sleeper look too:) I could use some pointers in the right direction as far as pipes, carbs, heads & such on a real-world semi-budget build that'll get results over & above the typical bolt-on mods. 4 mil a good plan?...not sure but I'm figuring on about $3-$3500 all toll in it including the $800 I gave him for it so if anyone knows a solid combo of parts in that price range then I'm all "ears". Thanks!
