sheerider11 do you think if I put a top end job and a aggressive port job with 19cc domes on my stock crank that would be all the power I need for what I do?

I was told that if you have stock carbs with a 4mill that if you stay in the throttle to long that you can suck the fuel out the bowls of your carbs and blow the engine?

So your saying is if I get a top end job with a aggressive port job I would be able to stay with a 4mill in a race.

I have T5's, vf4reeds, pro design coolhead putting some 19cc domes in them it has 22 in them now, adjustable timing plate, I have stock carbs, getting a aggressive Dune port with a fresh top end job.

I'm not going to just slam a crank in and leave everything else as is. That is why I asked what supporting mods, so I can get those if I do not have them.

Talking with the guy's from pro design their saying I will most likely have to mix my gas half 93 and half 100 octane.

Have anyone used 100 octane air plane fuel? I'm redoing my top end and I'm switching my 22cc domes to 19cc domes. And was told that it would be a good fuel to run.

I cranked my shee up Monday and the right cylinder was firing fine but the left cylinder was popping and backfiring. That's the side that had a backfire. So thinking that backfire knocked the reed petal free.
