  1. This equipment has less than 2 hours on it. Everything functions as it should. I had this setup on my 4mil stock cyl bike. The shift light activates off of a programmed output from the ignition. Works great.

  2. Diming is another thing. You can solve the "problem" doing 2 things or three.

    1- putting a batt.

2- putting a capacitor who will act like a batt.

3- man up, and dont care about diming under 1000rpm....

    I chosed the 3th option ;'l

Ok, so what's the advantage of running the rectifier then? I would think that would solve the dimming

So when using the rectifier the lights wont dim like they would on the AC Circuit, but hold the same brightness through all RPM ranges of the engine?

Do you use this rectifier on your bike?

  4. Yes, output is 12V dc.

Thanks Claude. Wife is about to have baby #2 any second now, so it will be a little bit before I can do this. I will update this thread when I can. You run OEM headlights on your SS, correct? Thought I remembered seeing a pic of your bike with stock headlights.

The cleanest way to run LED lights is to separate ignition power and lights power by floating the ground, then convert the lights power to dc with a cheap (8$), 125Watts,4 wires, ac/dc converter/rectifier/regulator.

Then hook what ever you want on it.93aa7a8e4d3478f6eb126a66b02d005e.jpg

Sweet, I'll be doing this. Would you happen to know the output voltage of the rectifier/regulator that you posted? OEM is 12V, is the one you posted the same?

  6. What's up HQ, been a while since this topic has been covered. Any recommendations on running aftermarket headlights? I see cascade innovations sells a kit, picture attached. Looking to add a set of lights on my 521. Anyone run these ones here? Thanks a lot.

  7. maybe to a future date, if still available. i just fear, the not so small package will stuck at the Frankfurt Airport Customs in germany til eternity. i've had bad experience a few weeks ago, with a letter from the US. got lost and did not arrived, because the custom officials obviously are retards. you'll get rid of it pretty fast with less efforts i'm already sure
Whenever your ready, just reach out. If they sell, I'll update the post as sold.
