How do i check if the Trans case is being presurized?
Leak down test I would think.

You can run any piston you want. Should have it honed/bored to the specific needs of that piston though.
Forged is lighter and will let the engine rev faster though. Never go back to cast

Maybe after a trip to the dyno to get it dialed! Hardest part is getting someone else that wants to go with a full size truck. My S10 isn't real happy towing a banshee and my girlfriends grizzly but if I had to, I could roll down on my ownHell yeah! When you goin back to busco?

Just got off the phone with Jeff at fast, what an awesome guy to talk to. He's getting me setup with the parts I need to get this engine back together. Cannot wait to see how it runs after this

I did notice that little mark you're talking about, I'll watch that when it goes back together. I'm going to use waterproof grease this time too as recommended by sleeper06. He said it'll hold up the best long term.

Alright, got my refund from HJR, shipped his crank back this morning. Im going to get the new crank on the way so I can build my engine next weekend.
4mil hot rods crank
2 max load bearings
Fresh copper washers for the head and an extra set of dome of rings just in case.
My crank seals were brand new a month ago and they look fine, I have new gaskets.
Anything else? And does anyone know if fast will put the new bearings on the crank for me?

Lesson learned because next time I'll turn to the forum members first before assuming a site sponsor can do no wrong. I'm not ready for pipes yet but once I am, I will consult here firstseriously though how is it a lesson learned when its a sponsor on here that you would rely on + googling his reviews will mostly show up as good..... most expect a HR crank unless he notified every buyer that bought a kit which most would presume to be a HR crank...
Your DAMN LUCKY to have the support of the members behind you on this..... when it had happened to me... well put it this way... I was alone for a good while and had to pick wisely who to ask for help on here without getting torn apart as "builders can do no wrong"

buy a different frame with a title and clean numbers. I doubt Yamaha will give a damn honestly, if they even keep records like that.

bet your asshole thought it was hardcore enough. Got bent over with no lube with HJR.

I think sleeper might get my cylinders and cases this winter for some extra work not convinced my "mx hardcore" port is as hardcore as I was told it would be

Someone correct me if im wrong, but being a 2 stroke, wouldn't the whole case have to fill with fuel?

If the cylinders are full of fuel you need to find out why. The issue will be in the carbs, float height, bad needle or seat. Thats all that could cause that issue.

the oil will build up on the plug and foul it out and being that there's no radiator fan, all that heat isn't dissipated very well due to lack of air flow.
