  1. The timing marks look decent. They are a little below the arch in the strap (if that's the name for it). It's at +6, is that around the common timing usually used, or could I benefit from advancing a tad more? I read right in the bend would be ideal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Awesome. So is the picture good enough that you think the left plug is good? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Ok, checked plugs again. Left side is showing heat, right side is showing a little, but not as much as the left. If you can't tell by the pictures, I've got a ring from 3-9 which is ideal from what I've understood. The right plug is showing less heat but I can make out where it's starting to show but nothing satisfying enough... So, both my needles are set to 49mm (I leaned both of them out from 48.5) and the PJs are both set to 5 turns out. I think I'm getting closer than I was for sure. Should I tune the right side separately? And if so, would I need a PJ adjustment on that side? Maybe lean it by a 1/2 turn and throw some fresh plugs? I got the needles set to where I can get it to rev out just by wrapping it about 2-3 good times. Hopefully the pictures are good enough to where you guys can give advice. If not I can try to get better ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Awesome. Thanks...guess I should change this title to lectron tuning help. Thanks guys, much appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. So the least you could turn them would be 1/4? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Oh but it seemed like it didn't wanna turn...ok, gotcha. I thought I might break it if I kept trying [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Alright guys. Was trying to lean out my needle a little today on the lectrons but I can't seem to get them to do anything. They're set at 47.5. I had the slide out and pushed the needle up and turned it either way and the measurement won't change at all. I'm talking 10 turns each way which would obviously change something, but measurement stayed right on 47.5. Am I doing something wrong? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'll update when I know more! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Lol, thanks guys. Really appreciate the help and support, awesome community. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. That could be the issue then, I looked again before I put it away yesterday and there's nothing burnt off the plugs yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Also, I've read that some people use a b8es instead of a b9es (which I'm using now) because they show heat better and are better for tuning...thoughts on this?
  12. Alright, cool. So basically just tune to where it runs clean and hard and check the plugs? How long does it take to build heat on them? I've got about 10-11 runs on it through the back yard, still isn't showing much of anything besides the timing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I just studied the lectron diagram on their website and I understand what you mean now. Awesome, I'll get into that over the weekend. Also, what's up with this sensors that are apparently useful for tuning? I can't recall the name of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Gotcha, I must have misunderstood what he was saying when he was explaining it. I'll have to get one apart to see what you're talking about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks guys for the help. I shut it down for the night after purging. Turning the powerjets closed 1 and 1/2 turns on each really seemed to help it. It seemed really fat to begin with, that little adjustment definitely livened it up a little. I'm just a little skeptical and nervous as to fooling too much with it since it's all new to me! But it seems I'm in good hands on here. When you talk about the needle, are you talking about the pilot screw? Not sure if that's the same thing, but I know it's set at 48.5. I'm new to lectrons and alky actually, so any help is awesome. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Awesome. Thanks. I think I'm gonna leave the needle alone for now and check the plugs again (just made about 6-7 more passes and it was noticeably better. Still loading a tad but I could almost completely clear it with revs.) Would 1000 ft higher elevation require a turn 1/2 closed on the pjs? I got the bike from a guy around sea level, whereas I'm at about 1,000 feet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Quick update. Turned the power jets in 3/4 a turn and it made a noticeable improvement...still a little fat...is it safe to try a little more in? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Should I turn them in by around 1/2 turns at a time or is that too much Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. They are gapped at .020...the lowest my spark gapper goes...and no, I can rev all I want prior to the run and it doesn't really help at all. It won't rev like it should until I get done with a run, then it revs good for maybe 20-30 seconds Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Reason I ask is because it doesn't want to rev all the way and under load it doesn't really wake up till around 4th gear where I assume it's cleared up...only to return shortly thereafter. After a decent run it revs out like it should as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I'm a little anxious at the fact that most people take 3-4 hard runs and check them...but I can't tell anything!! Stock 350 drag port 40mm lectrons one pj on each, running alky mixed 28:1 with 927 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. hi, wanted you guys to take a look at these plugs...ran about 3-4 runs on it and pulled...is there even enough time on them to tell? First is both side by side trying to show the heat strap (even though I see nothing) and the 2nd and 3rd are the the left and right electrodes respectively. I'm a little aware of how to read alky plugs but I see nothing to read here, should I get more runs on them and re check them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I want the shearers, sent you a text.
  24. Hi can anyone help me get in touch with Cam from Redline...I've messaged him on here, e-mailed him and called him over maybe 2 weeks, no replies...any help would be great
