Running pods? If so, one filter have a hole in it? One filter dirty?
I am running pods. They are brand-new with outerwear. I will double check them. I got new reeds installed last night. Hopefully that solves the problem.
I also pulled the head to look at wash. Everything looked good and even, maybe a little rich but even. Rechecked compression on my snap on, 164-165.
Leak down head 6psi for over an hour (used a Mac air gauge this time around). With the even wash maybe the direction the plug strap is facing has a little something to do with what I am seeing.

Thanks I will do that.... And put them on my wife's later lol.. I cannot wait that longif you call and bitch, they are likely to send a replacement peddle free of charge if it indeed is defected.. They are pretty good about that. Just will be more down time being you'll have to ship them yours for inspection first.

That's what I thought. I will order new and hope it works out. They should be tight to cage
Any other ideas are apresiated though

How much if any gap should be on reeds? If I touch them two pedals on suspect side push Dow but fraction of a mm
Compression is 165 and 166
-
Carbs synced?
Carbs are synced and the problem does not follow the carbs. I have switched them and the problem remains on the same cyclinder.
I will be checking the reeds the reeds next. Although they are fairly new....who knows.

Pulling my hair out and don't know if I should be concerned or not. Left plug looks slightly richer than the other. Bike runs great, passed three leak down tests, new pipes no leaks, new carbs and I have switched them from side to side with same result, new coil also tried switching plug wires with same results, newer reeds, carbs are in sync at idle and higher rpms, carbs open all the way, did it on a couple pairs of plugs to check. etc. what to look at next? Thanks
35mm pwk jets are the same, so are needles
New pods
Vforce 4 could I have messed them up that quick? They were on old motor 2 months before install
421 serval
Driveline domes (165 and 166 on snap on guage)
.44 squish on both sides
Shearer in sb
50/50 vp110 and pump 93
Castor 927 32:1
Sea level 95 degrees
Thanks

Not trying to tune off free reving. Under load imo will make it an even leaner condition..?. Not reving high at all, less than half and yes gas off, slides closed when pop occurrs.
Too much money in this one to blow it up.

Now that read what I posted I did not clarify. these are regular pwk i had air strikers before
-
Got some 35pwk from FAST ( *did have air strikers and they are a pita, don't do it) I have jetted my other shees fine but this one is troubleing me. I have not spent much time with them. kids, business and wife don't allow so before playing any more I thought I would ask.
When the pilot is lean does that make it "pop pop" after reving down.. In neutral? Even on both sides. Seems like I am in the right range. Responds good, returns good. Idles best at 1.5 turns out and shuts off at half.
No air leaks
Slides are in sync as well as idle
5+ timing
Shearer sb in frame
421 serval clean up port and plated
22cc domes 160psi 50/50 110vp
Large pods( fresh and oiled)
32:1 oil
Vforce 4
162 mains cel 4th clip 52 pilots
Maybe the pipes? Maybe rich under burnt fuel?
I have some 58's should I try them?

Buy your own domes from Redline, they're only $85.
What part of "421 Serval used one season top end kit f/s" don't you understand?
Come on man. It never hurts to ask.
-
Would you sell the domes?
-
What do you think of value as a part out if is does not work out?

Thanks for posting the chart. What is a "worm hole"? Is that like a boost port?Run 46 has the old set up. My porting, cut head, Shearer pipe. Boyeson rad vavle, stock carb.
Run 72. Reworked porting, same pipe, cool head with custom dome, vforce 3 reed, vm44 carb.

Of corse three banshees are nice but that's like having three blondes. A redhead is nice every once in a while.

Yea I am looking at parts and damn they are high. Might play fathers day to my advantage. I still want it. The guys seems a little ful of shit and an ego to match. I asked for video before I make the trip. Anyone know what compression they should have?

Disassemble and clean everything.

third air leak down passed. That is what it is acting like

That makes sense. Waiting for packing... I have a temp gun. What temp is too hot for head? I know it is hotter than water. My serval runs water at 170hot and 185 head. I did not think the port job with 28s would need bigger jets than my 35 a/s on my serval. My serval is perfect (finally the a/s is a bitch... Almost gave up and went reg pwk) it is perfect at 48 2nd clip cel 160main. This on, with more signal, is at 52, middle jjh, 165. Stumbled bad and looks lean(plugs) hot too fast. What about the old stator? Grasping at straws

I was wondering what all that meant. Sounds like I would be better off putting extra money into thee motor on my othe shee.

Here is a link. Quads go higher here than normal

How would it do power wise compared to my 421 serval shearer 35mm pwk?
It is a nice bike what is a fair price? He is asking 3250. No I would not be giving mine up for it but consider selling one of my other two to recoup. It is a couple hundred miles away. Wondering if it is worth the trip
-
Packing is not over oily but very .... For lack of better words.. Powdery.almost resembled the smoke. Would non cloged packing cause a lean condition?
-
I bought another banshee (3rd) and am having some problems. I thought I would ask before tearing into it. I bought it cheap and dirty. Had porting. I have installed stock reads off another, cylenders freshly bored, new oem crank, stock head, pro circut pipes, new 28mm pwk, +4.
Sea level, hot and humid. 52 piolets, one clip rich, 165 main. Leak down test passed after assembly and again after a few runs. Runs like a raped ape after stumble but too hot and seams lean. After shut down the pipes were still smoking. No oil out of silencers. Compression 120 on both. Stator case and wheel were also very dirty?
Carbs are in sync and no leaks I can fin. I thought maybe water but not too much smoke. Second leak test was done with engine installed and radiator cap on.
Not looking for performance at all this is for the wife and teen.

I was never starving for fuel. You do not need to go for 10 seconds straight, it just needs to be wide open throttle and wound out hard for a few seconds. In that much time (10 secs or more) a really far run can run a bowl dry and do motor damage. Start over with new plugs, ride for a minute or two and get into 3rd and run it thru 5th hard and kill it. That will be close to probably a 4 second run. Honestly dont run your bike fully wound out for over 10 seconds unless you wanna blow it up. Lol.
Never ran 10sec wot just wanted a longer run to check for heat on plug. I had a couple wot.. In 6 longer than normal but nothing to cause blowup.
What about oil out pipes? On my bikes in the day that was a rich sign. I never tuned my bikes then. It was done for me. What about reading plugs with race fuel. I have read no diff and I have read vp can make things more grey?
One side slightly rich serval 35pwk

Reeds solved it. Even now. But I do see how uneven the straps are in relation to each other. Oh well runs like a raped ape anyways. Thanks to everyone
