  1. My stock motor was re built years as ago with vitos pistons so the rings are probably a little worn and I was using a shitier compression tester. I was just mainly checking to see if they were ruffly the same. The bike did run pretty good before I was just replacing some seals and the intake boots cause they were worn. It just never felt like it ran to its potential. It would sputter a little when u got on it hard. When I started tearing into it the carbs werent even in sync.
  2. Thats what I thought. I dont plan on making it any bigger. Any one know where I can get the stock needles?
  3. Got a chance to mess with it today. Threw the 30 pilots in still a little rich so I threw the stockers back in and it reved high. Turned the air screw to 1 turn out brought back down figure im in between pilots. Also this jet kit came with some stupid red needles obviously not stock. Any one know where I can find stock needles? Or has any one tried cascades performance needle?
  4. I have the air screw set at 1.5 turns out. Havent tried messen with it. Idles good
  5. I ordered a kit with 280-300 mains 30 pilots and I assume stock needles. U think 30s r still too large?
  6. 98 banshee has realy bad bog doesnt feel like it gets to the power band. Mods. Bills full exhaust billet intake manifold with built in crossover tdr reeds on stock cages knn pod filters stock carbs motor .30 over no port work. Mains at 280 pilot 35 has aftermarket needles. spec according to bills is 35 pilot 310 main ran too rich with that. Temp about 75 f elevation about 5-700 illinois. Did compression test about 115-120 psi both cylinders did leakage test held 6psi for over 6 min Has tors deleted completely and new coil plus wires and caps. Think my pilots too rich gona hunt down stock needles too.
  7. Bikes running. Idles fine. Just bogs when I give it any gas im up to a 190 main already. Still feel like it needs more fuel.
  8. It was just a quick test to see if it was a fuel or spark issue. Theres no way its going to cause any damage with in a few seconds
  9. You never have done that before to any engine? Instead of starting fluid or brake/carb clean I stuck a small bottle of propane by the carb mouth and kicked it over.
  10. Definitely a fuel issue damn thing turned over on propane. Also noticed my carb top didnt have a gasket so looks like I need 1 of them too
  11. Its synthetic I have been using it for years with the dual carb set up. Didnt have any lubrication issues. Just felt like it wasnt ever tuned right thats why I went with the single carb set up.
  12. Yea has spark. Fairly certain its a fuel issue. But I do run golden spectro oil at a 50 -52 /1 ratio.
  13. Ok so I have the intake and carb on. Thing wouldnt start with 145/45 jet. Just fouled out the plugs. It did start with a 42 pilot for a bit but I couldnt get it started after that. Thinking my pilot is still too rich.

  16. Ya guys it will be a while before I tackle this set up. I still have to buy jets gaskets and filter and also intake boots and tubes to make the air box. Funds are low so its a slow moving thing

  18. I will probably have 1 in a trailer and 1 in the truck. But I will go some time in june-august. And yes I will get a set of sand tires for both quads. And most likely it will not be a holiday weekend
  19. Hey guys just discovered smart carbs. I was going to try the graydon 2-1 set up. Was wondering if any one has tried a single smart carb on a 2-1 set up.
  20. Planning on going out to silver lake atleast once this year. Want to no what to expect when I get there. Have 1 banshee with full bills exhaust supposedly came with arrestors built in the other bone stock. Will I need to get a set of silencers for the stock pipes? If so which should I look into? Also do they check sound decibels? Heard different stories before.
  21. One thing I forgot to mention I will be changing reeds out since im down there to either boyseen power reeds or carbon tech low mids on stock cages non ported
  22. Just purchased a graydon 2-1 carb intake with 35 pwk. Looking for a starting point for jetting. I no eek needles are popular. Current mods are bills thunderseries full exhaust and knn pods on home made air box no lids. No porting basically stock motor other then a rebuild with vitos dome pistons the places I will be riding will be about 669 feet above sea level and the temps will range from about 50-90 degrees from march to november in michigan. Also planning a trip to silver lake some time in summer
