And that metal plate had small bolts that secured that plate Hope you can see from the pictures I took pictures of the damage and to me it looks ok but someone mentioned that the shift star looks like if broken ... So I took pictures and I want you guys to tell me if anything is missing or bent or that should not be there ... All the help is appreciated..

No I didn't see any on the clutch when I took my apart ... Should I go through the rest of the motor like craving the case open just to take a look and see if everything else is in good working order ?

Got the broken bolt out After I drilled it out I looked around insides the case and found a bent bolt and a rubbery piece of what once was an o ring of some sort lodged behind that metal plate any idea what it might be from ?

Thanks for the tips Just went out and bought some reverse drill and screw bits and just notices that a have a metal ball at the bottom of the shift star (Drill bit pointing at it ) not sure if that's normal I have never taken a 2stroke motor apart

So about 2 weeks ago I found a 2000 banshee on Craigslist for 900 $ I jumped on a deal and bought it the same day . My dad delivered it to my house the next day .. The guy told me the reason it was so cheap because it had problems shifting .. Other then that it idles as it should. he told me he was going to fix it but the list interest so he put it up for sale . I got home took the clutch cover off and noticed it had a broken eccentric adjustment screw... And half of it was still inside the case ... So I was wondering is it possible to get it out without cracking the case open? Was it worth the money I spent on it ? The plastics are rough cut and were done by him .

Hello everyone ... I'm new to the bhq and not sure if this is the right place for my thread ...if not then I'm sorry.. I recently bought 2nd banshee As a project and I want to start of with exhaust and was wondering if it's possible to replace the fiberglass inside the pipe with regular fiberglass insulation ?! And is it normal to have gunk buildup inside my headers ??
