I am looking at a set of Elka shocks Stage 3 fronts and Rear shock. Seller says they are setup for +2+1 A-Arms and +1 in the rear. My bike has stock front Arms and +4 rear swingarm. They are already setup close to my weight. Is this going to work for me or would I need to change the shock setup. Any other opinions are welcome, thanks ahead of time.

Forgot to add when the front brakes worked before it was as soon as you pull the lever it would engage. Now its 3/4 of the way back before it engages and nowhere near the grab that it used to have.

I use Yamalube 2R and Bel Ray Gear saver 80w right now. Just want some other suggestions on pros and cons of the different fluids out there. My cousin uses regular car oil for the gears 10w40 and swears its just as good as all the high priced shit. I don't know about it but its definitely way cheaper than whats out there.

I have my bike away for the winter but the last couple rides I seemed to have hardly any front brakes. I tried bleeding them again and the rotors are in good shape and the brakes are prob 50%. The thing I did with the back brakes when I had similar issue was take the caliper off and pump the caliper all the way out and all the way in a few times and lubricated it well and it seemed to work fine. I guess the haven't been out that far before or the got corroded a little bit. Any other ideas besides what I said I did with the backs will help. Also stupid question but what is the black line that goes to the front brake handle.

.30 over bore. +4 timing. Tors eliminated. 20cc cool heads. Herr jugs racing port job. V force 4 reeds. Airbox delete w/ k&n filters. Never checked reading before. What should it be around

Just looking for some opinions on the topic. Banshee is fine with screaming thru all the gears until it hits 6th and it takes about three times as long as the other gears to top out. Kinda bogs thru the gear but it does get up after awhile. Don't know if its starving for more fuel. I have 13 tooth front 41 back 22 inch tires. Stock carbs, 30 pilot and 330 main jets at 80 ft above sea level.

I am going to be installing V Force 4 Reeds to my Banshee. I know they pretty much just bolt right on but I was told the rubber sleeve that goes to the carb has to be cut/trimmed to accept the new reeds. Just wanted to make sure I know exactly what needs to be done before I take it apart. As easy as it might be I just want to be sure I don't F it up... Thanks for the input ahead of time.

I was just trying to figure out a close est. hp number for my bike. Here's the mods. 0.30 over w/ Weisco Pistons, ported & polished jugs, +4 timing, Tors elim., stock bottom end, LRD Adj. Race Pipes, rebuilt carbs, Pro Design Cool Heads w/ 20 cc domes. Run 50/50 mix Pump gas 93 & Race 110-112

I have been running Yamalube 2R in my bike since I got it. mix 36:1 Bike loves it and never fowled a plug. Runs a tad on the rich side. Just wanted to hear what some others run and why....

My bike runs great usually every ride. After doing 4 or 5 1/8th mile hot lap drag racing with friends right at the start it bogs down alittle so I have to really ride the clutch to get it to recover out of the hole fast. only like a 1/2 to 3/4 sec bog as soon as I let the clutch out but enough to matter. Only after like the 4th or 5th race it happens. Maybe It's just getting too hot, I don't know. Rebuilt the clutch EBC and heavier springs. Also installed pancake bearing. Any help will be good thanks.

I am looking for someone to revalve my stock rear shock. I have a +4 rear swingarm. Racetech said 4-6 weeks @ $200 for install...Not waiting that long or pay that much for install. Anyone know any good shops maybe on East Coast.

I am just wondering if I should revalve my stock rear shock. It's from an 02 banshee. I put a heavier spring on it already for my weight (215lbs.) and got a +4 swingarm and never revalved the bike. Stock rear shock does not handle that great I know but I need all I can get out of this one until I can get new one... The guy at repair shop said doesn't matter if I revalved it or not and that it would not change much...I don't think that's right so I just wanted some more opinions. Thanks....

I have up and down play in my handlebars (maybe 1/4 inch play). I replaced every bearing on the bike except for the steering stem bearing. What is the process of replacing it. I already know to remove handlebars off the risers. whats next?

SO CAN I JUST TAKE OFF THE SMALL CLUTCH COVER OR DO I NEED TO TAKE OFF THAT WHOLE SIDE COVER TO GET ALL THIS DONE?? I KNOW THE PANCAKE BEARING GETS ADJUSTED TIL THE ARROWS LINE UP WITH THE CASE. CAN YOU SEE ALL THAT WITH JUST THE SMALL COVER OFF..

JUST PUTTING HEAVIER SPRINGS ON AND PANCAKE BEARING. I NEVER HAD THAT SIDE APART SO I DONT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. FRIEND TOLD ME IT IS OBVIOUS WHEN YOU OPEN IT UP. ALSO CHANGING SHIFTING STAR AND NEW IMPELLER WHILE I'M IN THERE. I HAVE EVEYTHING I NEED JUST WHAT TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I'M DOING BEFORE I OPEN IT UP... ANY HELP???

It was the case saver. Going to take it off and grind it down a little bit. Might even go back down to the 14 tooth.

Just wondering the pros and cons for this upgrade. I was told to just put heavier springs in and I would be fine but I know there are more options than that.. Any help??

My overflow hose is leaking when my gas in on. Stops leaking when I turn gas off. I already bought a new petcock assembly because I thought it would fix it. It did stop leaking on the left carb but the right still leaks. New petcock works great but I am tired of it leaking. I don't know if its a float issue or what. Carbs are Mikuni's and they have been rebuilt... Any input will help....
