No sir I am not, the picture is always under a reply of his, like a signature. It's not his profile picture -
Hey guys, I'm looking for a certain member on this forum, I don't know his name but he has picture of horse inside of a cylinder, something along the lines of pure horse injection? Can I get his name? I've been wanting to show my cousin the picture of the horse injection and have not been able to find it. Thanks

On my other motor which was just bolt ons and a fast racing clutch, I could snap the clutch quickly with it full throttle and shift, only did it when drag racing. So you guys are telling me is that I'm just exceeding a stock trannys capabilities?
-
Hey guys I recently bought a ported motor from my cousin that has a slingshot style lockup in it. I love the way it pulls but is extremely hard to shift under full power. Could this be because of the nature of the beast or am I using wrong type of fluid? Type f atf is what I'm running. Could it be that there too many balls in it causing it to remain locked? It shifts if I let off the throttle, but sometime will shift when I'm full throttle. It's a stock tranny as far as I know. Any help is appreciated.

We will have a couple 4 strokes and a blaster with us so I may just bring gas. I would like to build an auxiliary gas tank that stretches the whole underside of the seat, would like to get an extra 2-2.5 gallons. I refuse to get a clark tank, not very good looking to me. Have any of you guys ever measure the distance between the frame and swingarm when its fully compressed?

In the lower peninsula, by manistee. I went to the cedar creek trail over by muskegon last year, great time but we didnt stay long due to a friends atv breaking down. Id like to do more trail riding but fuel has always been a concern for me, how far can you guys get out of a tank?
-
Hey guys ive got a chance to go with some friends trail riding next weekend. Its called the Little O trail. My concern is it is a 41 mile loop, you think ill run out of gas? My motor is ported runnin 370 mains. If anybody has been there before and knows of a gas station about halfway I think I could last at least halfway. Whats your opinion?

I have 175 psi in both cylinders, looks like I may have to run straight race gas or a mix, im gunna call rb racing today and see what they have to say
-
Yeah I know that, I tried to get it put in my frame tonight, but it was pretty dirty so I'm gunna wash it in the parts washer tomorrow and get it mounted, do I need to install reeds carbs and pipes in order to get an accurate compression reading?
-
It doesn't have a cool head but the head has been milled, unfortunately I have not been able to do a compression check as its not in the bike, but I bought it from a relative, and it has run on pump gas, he just doesnt remember the exact jetting
-
I'm not gunna run alcohol, that's just what he used, just giving back ground info on it. He originally had it on pump gas, which is what I will be goin back to.

Hey guys I just picked up a rb racing ported complete engine, stock stroke, with v force 3 reeds and a slingshot lock up for a heck of a deal. The engine was set up with 35mm alky carbs with pro circuit pipes. I didn't get the pipes or carbs as I have not intentions of running alky or those pipes. Im gunna run my fmf sst's from my current motor and my v force 4 reeds, and stock carbs. What's a good starting point for mains? Elevation is around 800 ft and ride in 70 degree weather. I was thinking start around 360?
-
Well guys I got the motor and a set of skat trak hauler 21x10x8 tires mounted for 600, its got cascade covers, milled head, and was set up for alky but will be goin back to gas
-
Yeah and mines not ported as of now, thanks ks guys ill be lookin at it tomorrow.

Ive got the opportunity to buy an engine from a relative, rebuilt two seasons ago, didnt ride it much last year, its got a dune port from rb racing in laingsburg mi, setup up with 35 mm alky carbs, has vforce 3 reeds, a slingshot lockup, he said he could do 500 for the whole motor, what you guys think?
-
No I'm only 150 pounds, I absolutely love banshees but grew up on a 350x and have a cummins diesel, not havin a bunch of torque on tap is kind of a learning curve. I could simply go to a 4 stroke but would be pissed when I see a banshee pass me with half the money in mods
-
Haha, I know a serval is more expensive but what would be the cost difference actually be? I like the thought of bein able to run pump gas and making more power than a ported 350 on race gas or alcohol.
-
So I've got a 98 banshee with fmf sst, vforce4, timing plate and k&n pods. It runs strong as is but I have the urge for more power. I think I have narrowed my options to a serval or porting stock cylinders. I know I can make upwards of around 70 hp with some decent porting but fear I will lose some low end for trails and what not, so the serval comes to mind. I've always thought of it as kind of a 4 stroke act a like, with the low end power and higher torque numbers. My question is how much of a difference money wise and power wise would the serval be compared to just porting. If I go the porting route I would put a new top end in, weld the crank, and a cool head for some more compression, and bigger carbs. I believe my cylinders are stock bore or close to it, and head has not bean shaved given I have 125 psi compression both cylinders. Also would the sst pipes I have work well with the serval? I'd rather not buy new pipes if I could get by with these for the time being, what are your guys thoughts? I ride some trails, silver lake dunes, and around the house

It was the slides in backwards, such a simple problem! Put 27.5 pilots in and 270 mains in, runs like a dream now! Only one more problem... We cannot get the carbs to quick leakin fuel from bottom overflow tube. I've tried everything, new needles, cleaned and recleaned adjusted floats, whole nine yards. There is clear tubing on it, you can ride the quad around, get off it and tubes are bone dry, shut it down and let it sit for a few minutes and it begins to leak from tube, what am I missing/doing wrong?
-
Ok ill try to switch them around, thanks for the help! Ill report back when I try it out, sounds like that is my issue though, something so simple is worth a bunch of headaches. Does it just allow more air to flow with them in correctly?
-
Ok maybe that is our problem, he had the tors on it so we did a delete this spring, but we may have the slides flip flopped, I have tig welding class tonight but will see if it helps tomorrow, could this be why the mains are so small as well compared to mine?
-
I understand theres a notch on the carb body that the slide goes through, can the slides be flip flopped from carb to carb?
-
I started at 270 and it was way too rich
-
Ive double checked and rechecked choke tube and slides, use a carb sync tool each time. Im at sea level btw. I cant believe it even ran on stock jets, but thats how baBanshees get a bad reputation I guess
