Hi! I just rebuilt my banshee and it starts fine but doesnt want to accelerate more than 1/4 throttle. Its like something is limiting it because It bogs in a constant rythm and the engine stays on. I already clean the carbs many times, switched jets, move the needles, changed spark plugs, checked all the intake system for cracks or leaks,cleaned the gas tank and fuel petcock. Compression is 110 at 6500 ft above sea level, im in Colorado Springs. I think its an electrical problem. The thing is that it ran perfect before i opened the top end. Please help for suggestions!! Damn! I was expecting 145-150 with the 21s without the port job but i heard the port job also raise the compression too. I read until 160 stock not welded crank still safe...

It is gonna still safe for a not welded stock crank?

Ok... Im not gonna put my coolhead until get first my jugs ported, ill send them this week. Now, the question is: how many compression i should expect when i get a dune/play port and 21cc domes? Thanks!

I know the coolhead its not gonna be a big gain but at least 1 or 2 hp is something!... Definately my next mod its gonna be porting the cylinders! I got already an additional pair to send them and also get a wisecos in that same trip!Thanks

I bought the billet one from FAST... Its 25$ more bucks than the cheaper one but with this one you dont have to pull out the flywheel again... the cheaper one is the same shit but if you want to adjust your timing again you will have to pull out the flywheel...

Timing plate +4 is a good cheap mod definately... Make sure u get the flywheel puller too and a strap wrench to hold the flywheel or the other freakin tool that looks like a pressure plier... Check youtube, i did mine myself last week...

Hi! i just ordered a Noss coolhead with 21cc domes... just wondering how many HPs im gonna gain!? my mods for now are T5 pipes, KN filter with airbox no snorkel, timing plate +4... Just premium 90 octane pump fuel (highest octane you can find here in AK) My elevation is around 500 feet and temp is around 60-70s... My current jetting is 300 mains, stock needles and stock 25 pilots but im gonna switch to 27.5... Shee is working perfect right now! Thanks! and any additional info/advice is welcome... PS: still working on my english...

I put my timing plate today and went for a ride after and it was awesome! U really feel the diffrence. Big gain trough the whole powerband and throttle response. Didnt rejet...spark plugs looked good Running stock pilots, 300 mains, stock needles with T5s and a KN with the stock airbox no snorkel...had 280 mains before and was lean...
