1. I havent pulled the plugs but i assume i have spark because it will run momentarily.
2. I used just a touch of starter fluid.
3. Yep gas is on choke out and choke tube is in place. Slides appear to be working fine.
4. Well I've finally got her back together after pulling her completely apart and painting the frame. Now she won't start..... Did a carb rebuild while putting her back together and put in new plugs. If I use some starter fluid in the mouth of the carbs she will run for a sec. Not really sure what to do. Any ideas?
5. I think it was originally black and the previous owner just sprayed it with orange without removing anything. There was a bunch of orange overspray on everything when I got it.
6. Well here is a pic of the frame with pretty much everything removed. As you can see it was a must fix.

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD

9. The reason I don't want to powder coat is the price and difficulty to spot repair when chipped

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

10. Earlier today I almost finished tearing down the Shee and am about ready to go get the frame sandblasted. Just had some questions on what I have to do after the frame is sandblasted prep wise. Am I pretty much ready to shoot the frame with primer after the sandblasting? Do I need to take some high grit paper to the frame after? I'm planning on just using spray paint. Any answers and tips would be great.
11. Also interested in none painted. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

Which a-arms?

I am new to the atv scene and have had my 02 banshee since this summer, only been riding a few times though. I started tearing her down this weekend to redo the terrible spot rattle can job that the previous owner did. There is tons of overspray all over her. While I was doing this I figured I might as well do some new a-arms and perhaps a new swing arm. I'm just wondering what everyone typically runs for the a-arms. I see the +2 +1 is a common setup, does anyone make a +2+2 or something that increases the wheelbase even farther for some more high speed stability. I have noticed that she feels pretty loose at high speeds. Price is a factor for me, can only do so much at a time. I've seen the lone star racing ones along with the alba (the price seems really nice). Any suggestions would be great, thanks guys.
13. Wouldn't that be too big of a main and lean on needle jet.
14. Yeah I got an extra master so I i'm just going to remove that half link and add a link with two master links.
15. A picture would be the best way to explain I guess, but I don't have one right now. I didn't break the chain where I could use a standard master link to reconnect the chain. I have a "fork" on one end and a "roller on the other. It is like this = - instead of - - I thought I would be able to just find a replacement pin and put one of the rolling links back in and use a master link and be done with it. I'm having a hard time finding a replacement pin though. I would rather not reuse one.
16. So I accidentally broke the chain in the wrong spot and need to add one of the rolling links back in. Does anybody know where I can buy a single replacement pin to add the link and rivet it?
17. Well ordered steel front and rear sprockets 42 in the back with a 520 110 link D.I.D x chain. Bought a chain breaker and rivet tool as well. It was on the cheaper side so I hope it holds up. Can't wait to do the install and get back to riding.
18. Yes sorry I meant up one tooth in the back. So I guess 42.
19. I know this is noob question but I searched around a bit and couldn't find a definitive answer. I broke my chain yesterday while riding and am looking to replace it. I'm going to go with a new front and rear sprocket. I want to shift the power band down a little bit so I'm going to keep the 14 tooth front sprocket but was thinking of going down one tooth in the rear to a 40. I'm thinking of going with steel sprockets, is there really a big advantage to aluminum ones? What size chain will I need to make this setup work, 520? I'm planning on going with an x-ring chain. Any thoughts and opinions would be nice. I'm pretty new to quads, this is my first. Its a 2003 Shee as well.
