Check out the engine forum the are many many post on this. It sounds like the % go with Castor 927 as well as I do with great longevity for the motor, with a side of smelling great also, if you ride a lot it will diffenity cost more when fueling, but in the grand scheme of things and motor life spend IT. Riot Racing

The bikes motor was not designed from the manufacture to run or need a higher octane fuel. But if you modified it with cutting the head more than .035 or a cool head w/small chambers and a hotter ignition than in order to run that motor efficently you will need to run a mixture of race gas and 93 or all race gas 108. Just running race gas will slow down the burn in the combustion camber and fatten the motor up slowing you down just to smell good and waste motor.

Castor 927 is the man of oil's using it for years in two shes @ 40-1 not an ounce of issues This is a must us in our performance 2-strokes

Sorry Bud when in Rome ride the same as the Romams Look at it this way you'll always be the FAST GUY Just bustin your chops -
When reassembling the bearings dont forget the round tube spacer that goes inside to keep the proper spacing between the bearings wheng tighten the axle lock nuts use a small amount of blue loctite. Tap the bearings in gentle dont hit the inner race only tap on the outer race same goes for the seals, Tap them at the corner not torwards the seal you'll crack the sidewall of the bearing. 1/4 round flat punch works great. Use a very high emery cloth cloth 400 maybe, very lightly polish the axle area where the inner race sits. Just take your time clean all parts and it a walk in the park. Got my gearings from Magic Racing. Good Luck Brother,

Yamaha does recomand 91-93oct for there perforamance Quads. @ high rpm's were Banshees usual live you my and my not here minor detination (knocking). All motors 2 or 4 stroke are all designed to run at a specfic oct. If you run to high of an oct the motor doesn't have the comprerssion, hot enough spark, or timing advanced enough to fire all of it and your running a little fat. To low of oct will slowly kill the motor with pinging. Only in a pinch should you use a lower oct fuel at that dont run the motor at high RPM's very long just get to the closes station to get the proper fuel. Always try to run what the manufacture suggest to have a happy long relationship with you motor and always run good oil.

Castor 927 is one of the top shelf oils out there. Everyone has opinions on what they like or use. What were they mixing it at ratio? and how fat was the bike running? Dont mix more premix fuel that you will use for the day if possible. In time leaving the premix sitting the oil starts to break down and looses its lubercation properties. NOT A GOOD THING!!! For gas just sitting around for months and months put it in your car it wont care, but in a performance quad its not smart , they make a product called Stable for gas that will sit for a period of time. I would not use premix oil in my performance quad that was more than two weeks old my motor is not worth it!! If you ride hard and fast with a lot of racing it's just not worth it. 3.5gal + oil say 9 bucks worth the fresh 93oct premix money will spent. Good Luck

No No No, Free cheap money and little work and good gains, timing plate or key +4, and have the head cut .030, they work GREAT together. key $22, puller $5 magic racing, cut the head $35, gasket $15 local machine shop. After that port the read cages and put in good reeds no need for that expensive crap you won't even tell much of a difference between port fof a few bucks and 200+ for v-force. Porting free do it yourself do a search for free pictures or templates, reeds cheap money demending on what you like. Then you can bore the carbs larger for a little more top end this is cheap also and all still has the stock look. Under $80 Put wetter water or engine ice in her plus 1-2 in-line coolers cooler=HP under $100 also. For what the v-force reed cost and a few bucks you can doo all of this. Oh Yaa put a 15 tooth front sprocket on. Good Luck Man
