  1. Lol, I was afraid of that. Never posted a video before. Went ahead an made a YouTube account.
  2. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10201768737284008 First startup..
  3. Well, I got it on,,lol,, First it was kinda a tight fit in the intake boot.. Which I kinda expected. Next went to fill up the bowl for the first time, and it started pourin out the needle opening. So shit, i set the float adjustment a little lower. Came out at about 18-19mm to the top of the bowl an seemed to be fine.. Next,, my cable didn't let the slide close all the way.. So shit,, figured I'd be fucked till I got a cable. So I researched a little, an seen people had luck with a cable that had the 3rd adjusters on them. Which I had one on my cr250 w/ a thumb throttle.( think its a 250r cable), so I put that on an that solved that issue. ,, Finished putting on the pod, and tried to start it. Would not fire, so I figured I must of flooded it out when the gas came pourin. So I pulled the plugs and sure enough they were wet,. So I kicked it over a few more times then through the plugs back in. Then she finally fired up a couple kicks later.lol,, at first it would barely idle, but I'm pretty sure that's just cause it was flooded. After it ran for about 30 seconds it idled fine. I think it's still a touch rich yet, but sure does seem to run better than my pwk did. Will have a better impression once I get some more riding in,, but so far so good. Also,, the throttle is really light. Especially with the Honda throttle..
  4. Nope,, I only have a stock cylinder mx port, an exciter intake, and pt mids.. I think I'll be fine. Not too worried if it fails either,, lol, should be fun.
  5. Said they where gonna push the cast 36's back another 6-8 weeks,, so they FINALLY gave me a discount for the billet,, hope to have it installed this weekend.. Fingers crossed..
  6. That's what I've read. I ordered them for these arms, and this is what they sent. When I put them on though. I actually had to compress them a touch to get the bolts in. So I'm not too worried about it. You're right though that the axis has the preload pretty well loose. I'll be tightining it some when we finally take it out.
  7. No Idea what it was built for. But it is clearly 14" long. Eye to eye. Mine actually sits a bit taller than his. But I do have a -1 on there, where he has stock.
  8. Yea, it had the stock linkage with the custom axis. Eye to eye. Actually have it on my brother-in-law's bike now. Yea, they're fireball's a arms. The fronts were close to 19 1/4",. They have the zero preload spring in the front, so it makes them look shorter. When sittin down. Or taller when it's up, which ever way you look at it.lol
  9. The custom axis I pulled off was 14". Which is stock I believe. The elka I got with the link measures 14.5". Lol, yea, I bought the frame for the title, it just happened to be blue. But it doesn't match the stock blue plastic very well.. Someday when I get more cash rounded up, I'd like to get a yellow hood an rear fenders, an cut em like I did these blue ones.
  10. My dad had somethin similar on his 400 when he bought it. It was definatly a down grade from the stock housing. Definetly harder to push, an the extended lever was uncomfortable. I also had one of them boysen shock grip deals or whatever they are that came with the throttle, and same story. Factory honda was better. IMO.

  12. So what you switchin to? How'd you like them high revs over the mids? Wish I had more money layin around, I'd probably pick em up.
  13. Seen he didnt have any feedback, so I figured id put mine up. Bought some mx port cylinders from him. Easy to talk to, packaged parts well, shipped on time, everything was as good if not better than described. Deffinatly wouldn't hesitate to buy from again. Thanks.
  14. I thought it was so it didn't mushroom the slide, an get hung up.
  15. I'm jus gonna throw out my experience with that. Bought fireball long travel last summer with stage 3's long travel front and rear . Took it on 1 ride down at LSOK last fall. Now that ive been workin on the engine, I noticed a little oil around the bump stops already. I've always disliked elka. Always thought they were overrated, but they had there sale goin On. so I thought wat the hell. I'll give em a shot. An then that happened,, wish I would of got the fox evols instead..
  16. Yea,,,lol,, or at least they look the same,,lol gonna have them checked out an see if He can get by with a hone an rings,, if not then bored. Then when we get it back together we can measure it out and have some domes made up.. Seems to be the best rout I think.
  17. I bought a better set that doesn't consist of trinity. But will prob end up using these on a buddies bike. Lookin to avoid any race gas or aviation,,
  18. K,, But,,lol Off the shelf pro design 21cc domes. Stock stroke 513 series piston .020 base gasket .050 squish.. Mx porting.. It just doesnt make since to me how this can be 160-170 lbs with all that,, I haven't bought a degree wheel yet, but it's on my list.
  19. Well I finally got my caliper in. And the tightest spot for squish is .050, and the base gasket is .018 where its smashed and .021 where it's not. So I'm assuming its a .020 gasket.. So why do you guys think there's still that much comp? According to that chart I should be 148 ish with stock porting... Ends up I'm just gonna buy another set of mx ported cylinders already setup for pump, so I don't have to deal with the trinity crap anymore..lol..
  20. Yea no shit.lol. No signs of detonation though. Well, that chart shows about 33 psi difference, so that's about right there. Haveta get my caliper in so I can check squish. But I'll bet its too tight. Don't know of any other reason it could still be that high. With it ported too.
  21. Well,, bought this 99 last summer. Had a trinity motor in it. Was told it ran on 110. So I've been buying vp110 to run it for the time bein. When I first got it home, did a leak down and there was a leak on the right side intake. Fixed that an rode the rest of last season. Now I want to quit paying out the ass for race gas. So I picked up a snap on compression tester, and modquad head with 21cc prodesigne domes from Wes. Checked compression with the trinity head with 17cc domes and read 210-215 on the left and 205-210 on the right. Now with the 21cc I'm still reading 170 on the left and 160 on the right. Shouldn't there be a bigger difference switching from 17 to 21cc domes? Now I haven't been able to check the squish yet(waiting on caliper) but do you think that it may have too thin of base gaskets? What thickness should I buy when I do the topend?
  22. Hmmm,, might be worth a trip then. Still don't think my pos trinity mx port will do worth a shit,, but still.. Would be fun.
