  1. So this winter im looking to do a 10 mil serval build and with all that torque and horse power that it will be making im really worried about being able to shift properly or at all... I have a friend that was running a 10 mil cub and he really had a heck of a time shifting it, so i dont want to run into that. im not wanting to get into an override trans right now because i still want to be able to dune the machine but spank a few people in races as well. Ive looked around and found modded cams, shift stars, quik shift kits, etc. What are you guys doing that you have seen the best results out of? Or can you point me in the right direction to find more info on what im after?

  2. If your leaking oil from the shifter that means you have a seal gone bad in the bottom cases also if you have oil near the pump that's a bottom seal as well. Get yourself a good clymer manual and I personally would do a tear down and fix it right before something bad goes wrong. I just built my first banshee ever and I did it from the ground up the engine total time it took me about 8 hours to break down and rebuild the complete engine. I'm a huge fan of doing things the right way from the ground up.

  3. so just thought i would post this up if anyone else ever comes by it you will know. the after market stator that i had was an RMStator that actually has magnets that are way to strong for the amount of current the banshee wiring system can handle. Basicly what i was doing was frying the circuts on my stators every time i went riding. Evan was telling my that alot of companies are trying to do a upgrade flywheel but dont pay much attention to the tolerances of the wiring system therefor they actually overdo the upgrade and cause problems with the actual wiring in the system. hope this helps you guys or at least someone in the future. lesson learned never touch an RMSator flywheel again. or much else aftermarket for that matter lol

  4. So i started building my first banshee is January and I have run into a problem im hoping you guys can help me with any and all suggestions are welcome but please read exactly what i am dealing with before just thowing out a random comment (because you all know it happens here lol)

Ever since the beginning i have had an electrical issue which when you break down the banshee electrical system it is very simple, but this is what is happening. I have an OEM coil checks out, OEM CDI checks out (put it on a buddies machine and it kicked right over), OEM stator checks out, aftermarket flywheel, wiring harness has the key switch removed and handle bar switch is still functional.

now that you have the background on the electrical system here is my problem... My bike runs great (sounds like an issue right?) for about 2+ hours then i have stator failure. When testing the stator the yellow and black have continuity, the striped red and green wires have continuity, but the solid red and solid green do not have continuity. This has happened to two stators in the past month.

My quetion is ..... Can a aftermarket flywheel creat to much power or generat to much current for the stator to handle?

if you have any help for me please feel free to ask questions and feel free to make suggestions. I already have purchased a OEM flywheel but have not purchased a new stator yet... just looking for answers to my question thanks for the help guys.

  5. So i have a brand new build great compression on both sides, new v force 4 reeds, new chariot intakes, new keihin 35mm carbs, new plugs, used pipes, used coil, leak down test was perfect.

heres the deal i know that alot of people have already asked the question about why am i running less exhaust in one pipe then the other and i have pretty much learned that it could be anything causing it. However i came across a unconventional solution that someone posted and i wanted to know your guys thoughts on it. Keep in mind this is something that i found on this forum and me being new to the shee scene thought is sounded kind of wild but at the same time in my case it might just work and i wanted your thoughts. in order to get my exhaust to through the same pressure i have my carbs out of sync (I dont plan on running this way) but in doing this i am able to put off the same pressure.

My question is that i came across a post on here that you could potentialy have to run diffrent jetting in each carb where they are pretty much individual as far as how air and gas flow though each pipe and cylender. What are your guys thoughts on running a step up or down as far as jetting in diffrent side carbs? Can it be done? or is it looking for a complete meltdown?
