I had a feelin it was the ground. Make sure u measure the float hight. Maby polish the brass seat with toothpaste. There's also an oring under the seat that can leak on stock carbs..

I've been wondering where u been at 252. Even tried calling u not long ago.

It whould leak into ur clutch cover. Did u set the pick up gap next to the flywheeland make sure the motor is grounded good? Go over the wiring also.
